I have the sour d cut from shoreline, and ive sampled some of the buds. It smells and tastes just like the sour D we used to get from the city, the only difference was maybe the size of the calyx's on the bud. I remember the sour consistently had some of the biggest calyx's I had ever seen up to that point. even if its not the 'original' its by all accounts close enough for rock and roll.

I got gifted a "sour" over the summer I didn't get to finish her properly. so im haven another shot at her. She was in one gallon coco and the other in 3gal and still was a producer the Terps are definitely gassy but not like the sour I remember in upstate new York 2006-2010 RIP ? @Rocman91 Dont you have one in flower now? Show off them stack's. Screenshot_20220131-215333_Gallery.jpg

FWIW, there's some speculation that there's east coast and west coast versions of the SD. They say the west coast has more sativa, finishes in 70-75 days, and is more true to whatever the original cut was. The ECSD finishes faster 55-65 days, and is more of a 50/50 effect. Both should bring the strong diesel smells.

***Don't shoot the messenger, that's just what I've read. I want to say Caleb from CSI touts this theory.

I've only grown S1's of Shoreline's cut, and I would agree it finishes in no longer than 65 days and is closer to a 50/50 hybrid.

Ya its pretty simple. I use an old car shed frame. Sits on cinderblocks that has a 2x4 atached to the blocks to attach the frame and plastic to. The dep is 2 dep motors 2 double pole relays to switch the polarity of the 24 v power supply and timer. The black white covering is hard to find. Regular stuff lets light through. I find the stuff made for farmers to stor grain in is real good. Just cut small clamps out of plastic pipe to clamp the plastic to the dep tube. Works great. I could probly get 2 crops off if i had my shit together.

They make relays that switch polarity? Direction of the motor, correct?

They do make a controller with timer and pier supply but it’s less then half to make your owne. Pretty sure the standard way is just double pole relays 2 of them. You may be able to use multiple ssr relays but just regular works fine. I just use a regular timer. Opens at 8:00 close at 20:00.
You do have to be a diy type. It is a little fiddle getting the tarps to role up straight. If you get a few creased happening it get fat and roles up faster on one end. The motors do have settings and switches to turn themselvs off where you set. The top and bottom travel.

Thats the theory above. I use a single double throw relay. So it cant short if one dosnt switch.
The motors control the stopping part. The relay turns the motor on and when it hits the end of travel, which you set on the motor it stops. When the relay switches direction. It goes the other way till it hits the other stop.
Works quite well. I think the motors are the pricy part. E bay has them.

Just chatting with my buddy and he said basically the same thing. He said they're both the AJ's that he has is more bushy than the west coast. And not as funky. He also said they can both go 10 to 12 .
