Stardawg

As someone who has run so many GPS stardawg crosses (even running two right now) you have a really good chance of finding a killer stardawg expression in many of the old GPS strains since the dawg is just so dominant in most of the crosses. GPS stardawg is the only one I have experience with but I can vouch for the quality of a few crosses. If you are looking for straight stardawg and not a cross, I do believe GPS also had a Stardawg X Stardawg at one point that would be worth looking at if you can find it.

Chem 4 and Chem D were from the same bag seed that the Chem 91 was found in, at least thats the story we’ve been told.

You might be able to find some Copper Chem by greenpoint. It’s chem 4 x stardawg
Running copper chem right now, and while I agree its a killer cross, Its not as stardawg as say, Pebble pusher, Bounty Hunter, Purple Mountain Majest, and SkyDweller (in my experience with a pack of each)

Is Chem4 a Phenotype of the original? I read an article one day saying that even Chem D was a Phenotype of the original but I've also seen that it's two strains bred together.

I need to find some of that either way lol, I've not had a Chem cross that I didn't love!

Hey @JL2G where's Jenny from?
She's a Chemdog, pretty sure it was spelled Chemdawg though when I got them.
Dark Horse was the breeder of them, he did alot of stuff with that cut if I remember correctly. Got them at a dispo here locally in 2015 I think it was. Been meaning to stop by there and see what they have, everywhere I've seen online is out of stock. Then again I haven't tried too hard. Lol.

I actually read a site that stated that Chemdog came about at a Grateful Dead concert where some guys from I think Colorado got what they called "Chem Weed" because it had a chemical smell to it, and that the guys got some possibly through the mail, and that there was just over 10 seeds in it apparently and that those seeds lead to Chemdog and some others that were Phenotypes of it.

I've also heard people say OG Kush lead to Chemdog as well, and others say Chemdog lead to OG Kush.

I've also read about Chemdog '91 a little bit though I'm not as well read about it.

Chem 91 is his oldest cut from the 13 seeds and he has held it for 30 years...the weed came from cali or oregon and pbud said it was a chem smelling weed strain and a strain called dog weed and why he named it "Chem Dog"

So '91 would be a Phenotype right? Leafly is saying some odd stuff and I've learned not to always trust them. I've only had the '91 again once and I'm curious. Appreciate the info bro!

I've still got a sealed pack of Purple Mountain Majesty - so you liked it?
Loved it. It's one of the best so far out of all the GPS. Consistently brings the same smells and good flavors, chem, body odor, oil, fuel, maple syrup, sort of what another person described as dirty socks in the jar, that's what I would describe as the best expression of GPS's stardawg, seen it in many of those old strains. Anyhow the PMM flowers faster than most and yields like bricks on a stick, great potency, loud, bag appeal, everything.

I have no experience with the Stardawg - but have been curious about the Guava cut. Looking forward to what @OldG or maybe @Senokai will have to say about the 3 choices.
- Hazeman Stardawg F2 - I actually have a few of these seeds as testers but haven't got to them yet, I have been busy running a lot of THT creations.
- Useful Stardawg F3 - Never tried this one but useful is a solid choice imo
- Heisen Stardawg Corey Cut S1 - I have grown out like 10 or so GPS strains but it was all from the pre-Heisen merger. I personally won't put money in Heisens pocket.
