I am going to take apart a 240 watt 4 cob fixture I have and build a light for my 100 x 100 cm tent 32 x 32 x5 foot 2

4 x 60 watt citi cobs 97CRI 3k

I need to add wire to make it fit. Wire nuts, 14/2 Rmex house wire should work? I have half a roll of that and 12 2

I will put them in a square fixture with a 3500 or 4k qb in the centre. Separate power supplies outside of the tent with dimmers.

A full spectrum grow light.

How far should the cobs be spaced from the tent walls ?

House wire and wire nuts with electric tape would work ?

This will have a Max of 360 or 390 watts depending on which board I end up using. Like a 315 cmh but cobs and board

I ended up getting the 18 single strand copper wire for putting lights together and a 60 pack of wago connectors. I have a feeling the other fixture will start heating up (contained with a computer fan that burns out).

So i will be ready to build another one.

2 weeks or less and its almost all harvested out. I can hold things in tents until i build this right.

the 24 x 48 trays (ID) are there to see the spacing. Some minor adjustments and its going to work great.

I have a 16 x 48 tray coming for the other side so there will be an alley down the middle for me to get to the back (planters can go in to fill the hole if there is one). Eventually it will be 16 floraflex pots of 6 and 8 inches (If the 6 inch does the job it will all be 6s).

I started some tester beans in my floraflex pots...the 6 inch square pots are smaller than i thought. i filled 5 with 1/4 of a canna coco pack. Just under 1 gallon each...well that is ok and all but i just ordered matrix pads and disks so i can run the next 8 in bigger planters

3 to 5 gallon ones.

I will stick to 16 in bloom and then use the tents to achieve the rest of my count.

Lighting will be 1500 watts of boards and cobs driven as needed.

Its exciting when you start it off. i cant wait to see it where i want it to be...it took me 16 months to figure it out but now i am getting there.

4 x 60 watt max citi cobs in 3k 97 CRI in the corners and.then in the center will be a slot that i can put my QB120 in (3500 with UV IR and 660NM)
50 to 360 watts of power for my 32 x 32 inch tent.


Both will have potentiometers so i can dial them both up and down.
I went with 1 1/2 angle aluminum 1/8th thick and the center channel will be 3/4 angle aluminum in a track so i can swap out the board if i want to go with my 4k later.


Floraflex system is next. 4 bubblers and i am running 3 and 5 gallon pots and some 6 x 6 squares. I can run 16 to 32 pots from the 4 bubblers and i intend to have a vegger and bloomer versions.


Next up.....2 BIG purple dream...and maybe a Walter White...i4 or 5 more and i can install the floraflex.

Trimming like a madman lately but i filled the jars...its a HUGE August but the bloom room is depleting rapidly.

That light set up is awesome. Been wanting to add cobs to corners, that would be perfect. No plans yet but I like that design. Nice work @OldG

its solid. I also got a cheapo board that is bare wires and balls of steel currently but i will frame that up after this one is done.

Bloom room will be a 1000 HPS on one half and
240 watts 3k cob
240 watts 3k board with 660nm red
240 watts 3k board with 720nm far red
250 watts 3k board with 660 IR and UV
They will be run at 700 watts or so for all 4 total.

I will start the HPS at 750 and see how it dials in and proceed from there. CMH will replace a 4k board as a veg light if i need the temp increase.

With Floraflex. And a few autopots ramned in the spaces.

Ultmately piped in with 3/4 lines on 2 reservoirs...and maybe a backhaul into a dump res.

Drain to waste only.

Its going to be a crazy few months...

New lighting format installed. Bloom room is full up but i will add 250 watts of board i have to put together to cover one other spot in there to ensure a very even spread of light.

HPS with 3k and 720 reds (the back 4 x 5 feet)
The rest is 720 watts of boards and fixtures and i will add the 250 watts to this and dial them down.

Total wattage running is about 1200 out of 2000 (Bloom).

CMH is back to the offical veg light and the tents are all lit up as well. This is going to be a rough power bill...3 months in a row at 500 plus each lol. That is a new PB for me.

I have to find a fitting now that you can hook the pvc pipe up to a threaded bit so i can hard plump the floraflex to the flood and drain trays. Tomorrow i might build the first one just to watch it work.

Hydrored tote with the flood and drain fittings removed and this is my drain res...i might run a 10 gallon res beside it to drain to waste it...i will play with the possibilities.

but the totes will work...and it fixes that coco salt buildup problem with a recirculating flood and drain using coco coir...you get them to the finish but wow they can look some kind of crispy when they get there. I found pouring your top up nutrient water directly through the pots worked fantastically at doing the job so floraflex should be way better than that !




First cell of floraflex pots...the rest are all 3 and 5 gallon pots with matrix pads and circles for the system...when this shit starts growing....oh no....and the CMH is going to boost my veg by a lot...i need the warmth in that room.

A good friend of mine HeathenRaider made these seeds. I am running some.

I put a Heathens Hammer in a 7 gallon soil pot. Vegged it for 80 days and put it in bloom after a good clean up. They are usually beefy in the stems department but this one is really going to be able to support some buds. Its in a combo of Blue Sky Organic soil and Destiny Organic mixed 50 50 (one uses coco and one uses spaghum for aeration).

I hedge my bets...throw it all in a tote and churn it up with a gallon or so of perlite.. i will be going to a lighter mix for the floraflex so i can feed it more often and trick it into giant buds.

These went in bloom this morning. A tray of testers (KMOG made GG4 X GMT which is an Alien OG thang).

Once those roots are full in the pots...and you get the temps up BOOM. The whole time its been too cool in veg so i raised the lights and cranked them up to get to 80F.

the difference was seen overnight.

I cut down a purple dream....2 left in bloom and a tray of heathens gear and then i plumb the 3/4 hard lines for floraflex. Its getting closer.

I ended up buying a 14 gallon oddjob tote...it will fit EXACTLY in this tent. 20 x 36 x 62 inches and the 14 gallon is 20 x 36 inches at the base.

I like when it works out. Should be here this week its on the way from the west coast.

Trial run #1...lets see if it even works. So far...its working.

Its under the HPS so i can KNOW how fat the buds can be.

Thanks to a helpful person on RIU i found a Canadian lab that will test for THC and CBD for me for 30 or 60 each. The cheapest i found before that was 150.

I want to know. Not for every strain i grow i would go bankrupt...but for those real head slappers.

The velvet sledgehammer and velour chainsaws that tip the scales between alternate realities...

i will get a kit that can do it for Christmas (a present to myself) and it will be good to compare a couple results to see if that thing is accurate enough to use. Because that would be great. The fancy ones can measure THC and CBD in coconut oil, hash, rosin or buds.

I want to chase my other half pack of Atonic X Apollo and hopefully i can find a decent 50 50 one to run perpetually. IF that doesnt work i might have to trade for something else but i have lots to trade.

I have to say that Seawench is stacking some fat dense buds. Its been a while. I was in larfy hell so long i almost sold my boards on ebay.

But cultivars have a lot to do with things.

i had a c99 drop a marge simpson cola under a board (thanks eso).

I have the watts...i have the nutes and RO water and its all organic soil baby....shit is going to turn around.

I am seriously loaded to the nut with next stuff...but when i claw my way through and cull males and weaklings....then i am going to try some HAOG BX1 from Scwaggy. I want the skunky va but a narcotic knock you out gummy is on order for me and a couple of pain sufferers i know.

Then i think i have to do a trial of sin sity juice with some of the eso gear i have not even gotten to and the super lemon haze are coming !!!

I will be around posting pics. Negative vibes are behind me..Lets grow some weed.

You know what makes you feel good ? Helping someone grow better weed...or sending someone a fat stack of gummies and finding out they are the best pain meds they ever had and they dont have to take their morphine.
