I've been informed there will be no marijuanas growing on the new deck and I'm ok with that.

Shutting the heat down on the indoor today and getting the coldframe set up with electrical. It gets me about 5F, 10 if I tarp it, normally / generally nothing stays out overnight here until may and stays protected until June. We are unseasonably warm though I will hold fast to the normal schedule. I don't want the hardeng off process to take more than a couple of days, too risky pest wise if it goes on too long. Also need to make a run for lumber for some raised beds.

I should have taken pictures of the growths in my flower res. honestly I wasn't much in the mood. They looked like tempeh. Culled/harvested the 2 remaining skunky d at 63 and 44 days. The one at 63 was showing signs of rodelization, they did not have a happy life but I decided to cull the cut. Rank asphalt good 2nd hit flavor good but not great effect, I tended to oversmoke trying to keep up vs. ride out.

It will be interisting to see what is inside the bucket of HoneySundae perhaps it not being an open tub makes a difference. It will get harvested later this week probably, I did a 3/4 res change on it a few days ago with the remainder of this last batch. I will just leave out the fnp for the next attempt but for now I am hitting reset and have put HS in the tent and flipped the room to veg with only a litter tray of bansai NH parents and HS mom megacrop.

Plan to shuck the rest of NH and MdR beans and biting my lip to hold off on the germ test.

Been a week below 40 basically, lots of time in the teens. I have been able to manage keeping it above 39 till last night, there were 2 Anaheims in there but they haven't seen any light for a few days.

Its kinda nice only having the one veg res to worry about, and its on MC 1part. I have an un opend bag of the part a I will probably just ammend the compost pile with it once the snow melts.

I put my 1st batch of seedlings (all but the 6 shorter ones on the right) in the same soil I have my peppers and veggies in and it was/is a bit weak.
20210420_204501.jpg
The skunky va (6 on right) are doing much better in a slightly richer mix, used just a little less than the 5 gal HP promix in last batch, plus crab and alfalfa. The skva are about 2 weeks behind but have more side branching and I haven't peeled any leaves off them yet, the others have had most of the shittiest looking parts removed.

Transplanted the NH cuts into 1.8 gallon squares today. Used the rest of the last batch of soil and need to get another one going. Have worm castings aging with azomite, langbenite, kelp, alfalfa, crab, bone and blood meals, rock phosphate aging for an outdoor raised bed that was added by the handfull to the bottom of the transplant hole and slightly mixed. Trimmed up the bansai parents as well think that was about 4 weeks. This strain has been a challenge.

A few of the new run in veg are sexing but not going to pull anything for a while yet. Already culled 3 or so. Plan is to chop the HoneySundae this weekend. I also have a GorillaBlues that is 5ish weeks that has been getting moved between the room and tent daily, gonna start doing that with the NH cuts soon.

Slowly getting on track with veg. Gave super k foliar last night. 3 confirmed females so far. One is @Mim Towls ak47 x vanilla gorilla (far back left in 1.8gal), another is @TheSpaceFarm 's Twinkle Twinkle Little Tart (far back right in 1.8 gal), the other ICR what it is. This round I just numbered everything trying not to play favorites as I cull them, think I'm at something like 6 or 7 now 3 males and the rest just not playing along or putting up with my antics.

My hope this round was to sex everyting before final transplant then flip to flower. Its looking like it will be a staggered flip.

34 strawberries have made it so far. Put some in the cold frame last night. Its held over 40 in there for the last 2 nights without heat but 3-5 in of snow expected tonight.

That fan doesn't work one bit for cooling unless its a bright cold day and the box is closed. I kinda want a swamp cooler.

Got the garden bed turned. One Asparagus has made an appearance from last year, hope a few more pull through.
20210502_105700.jpg
Probably plant carrots and onions today. Built a raised bed 2 x 6 x 18in that I need to source some media for, also need to ammend the veg trug, it is probably going to get mostl strawberries and a few herbs. Will use Bio-live and some beefed up worm castings.

Time to roll up the cold fram snow is coming in just the time it took to type this post. Welcome to the valley.

A few days ago I took cuts from the Neville's haze parents, then rather than waiting for them to root, I took the bansai parents out of hydro and into soil.
20210512_205243.jpg
None of this batch of cuts are looking good, specifically I am concerned I will loose NH no. 5. No. 2 is at serious risk too and I should grab a spare or two from the one in flower.
20210512_205324.jpg
The rest of the garden looks much better fortunately.

Going from memory lets see if I get all if them.

Regina
Alexandria
Golden Alexandria (only 2 have made it so far)
White Soul
Yellow Wonder

I feel like I am forgetting one. All were seed from Baker Creek.

They are ready to be planted but weather says no. Had frost this morning, that requires hardy varieties.

20210513_105633.jpg

'bout 6 or 7 have popped up, its been below freezing at night, had about a foot of snow, some freezing rain, they were involved in making fresh frozen hash as well. GorillaBlues x Neville's Haze or Skunky D x Neville's Haze.

I liked both of those ones, not fitting in your chucking plans?
Take a peek up top.
This one was taking its time to show, or at least it was taking me a long time to see it. I had it as female at first, then a couple days later I couldn't confirm, now its probably a week later. If I am correct this means intsex has been identified in every one of my CnC crosses.

Its unfortunate because I was excited to dig through that GW cross to find some things to F2 and beyond.

For now I am going with sensi runs, the next planed chuck is another preservation run kalmata or ketema red in search of something perhaps more suited for outdoor here, but I haven't even officially submitted my application to @Deebs for that. If I find Neville's Haze to bx in this first run through I might get to that first if I can manage to keep the No.3 male alive, lol. Last round of cloning was pretty bad, I think 3 of 14 still have a chance, and No.3 was the only parent to survive transplant. This going back to work bs and setting up the veggie (strawberry) garden has really impacted my canna garden ?‍♂️ .

I was about to drop some of the GW x CNC beans you sent me for my next round, but with half my tent seeded from an intersex plant I'm a little gunshy... how frequently have you seen intersex traits in the CNC crosses?

Frequently enough I am not sending any more out unless someone requests them.

In total I would estimate 100 of the beans have been popped 200 at most. Personally I have done maybe 20, this is my 2nd intersex. I have received 2 reports of rhodelization one near maturity and another on reveg and another 2 or 3 of straight up intersex like this one.
