I've always felt kind of like I was the only person in the world who likes these guys. I never hear them discussed, and (I swear this is true) the only time I ever had my car stolen they also ripped off most of my cassettes, but when the car was recovered the thieves left my Violent Femmes. Insult to gawdam injury.

Anyway, always loved the lyrics of this one,

I was looking for a project for the weekend,
It was either take over the world or learn French,
So I took over the world
And next weekend I can learn French



That was the tape that was left behind, too. Bastards. Can't believe it still pisses me off almost 30 years later ?
