This was yesterday but I was too high to try and type all this out so today I'm typing out what I did yesterday:
After cutting down a ... 9 foot Blue Cheese that showed male organs.... Then yesterday the one I had going did the same..... I'm the only balls aloud near my plants so they had to go. I didn't cry. No tears. Bit sad of course cause now the only Blue Cheese I have are 3 seedlings I stuck outside like a few weeks ago just in case the balls came.
Then a 6 foot GMO plant, which started out looking like it had a nutrient deficiency ended up not being nutes.... No, pretty sure it was Rust Mold. Can't risk ALL the plants over a single GMO plant no matter how pretty it had gotten, no, the other GMO plant was already showing female and I already cloned that one anyway... So no tears, just cold blooded grabbed the branch trimmer you use on trees and Deer knees cause they were thick!
Carried them very carefully passed the other plants in case some mold wanted to play on the others.
The whole ordeal had me feeling some kinda way, and taking a Shotgun outside and popping off rounds would have probably scared the shit out of anyone in the county part in the far back so, instead of unleashing the lead, I told the Wife I needed her to roll me up some GMO roach joints.
We're not out of weed or anything, but I needed a reminder; GMO #2 is still doing wonderful, and I cloned her 3 times and put those outside too.
By the way if anyone ever runs GMO, let me tell you about how easy it is to clone! That teeny tent we have in the bedroom that I put the seedlings in, and then, the clones in, doesn't fit much, but I can't really go get a clone dome, OR the clone bubbler thing that the Father in Law bought like 2 years ago.... I am simply glad I didn't kill them.
No cloner, no dome, no heater or humidifier of any sort outside of me using tap water to spray the clones with the well water we have, and using Root gel. I snipped the clones, cut the stem at an angle to make it so there was more exposed surface area for roots to come from, dipped it in the gel, stuck it in a torn open Root Riot Moss Block (I tear them open cause that little tiny hole that's already there..... Nah....Not big enough, Daddy packing magnums haha) so I tear them open sideways and shove my decently sized cuttings in there, and then use Clonex or whatever it's call mixed with tap water to water them in.
I then stuck all of them in the tent with no light for 2 or 3 days. After that I turned the light on at a low 15% setting (Dial knob style for Veg and Bloom on that one) and then I'd leave it on for like a day or so, turn it off, water the plants with the Clonex spiked water, spray them with tap water, repeat, turn it off a few times for the night, and after about a week and a half, the GMO clones had roots ALL the way to the cup!
I use a clear plastic cup with a whole cut in the bottom, and put soil in those (Happy Frog Soil if you're interested) and then the Root Riot block goes right in the soil, and then another colored cup is used for the outside which is marked with strain info.
GMO cloned SO easy! I didn't cut any fingers off leaves, and without the cloner or humidifier .... I kept telling myself I'm being stupid and not even trying hard enough, because I felt like I was doing it wrong.
Well, after thinking that I'd smoke some weed and be like "Well, they aren't wilting, they aren't looking shitty, why mess with something that looks good???".... So I left them alone and checked on them each day and eventually saw beautiful white roots all the way to the sides of the cups.
GMO was the first one to have roots. Skywalker and Chem D were second. Gelato #33 was the longest one to wait for.... Like literally 3 days after I took GMO outside and let it just go in the Sun, finally Gelato was ready with roots to the sides. I didn't lose ANY clones. Skywalker had decent roots right around the same time as GMO finished so that was pretty easy to clone too.
Honestly this is the first time I've EVER cloned my plants where I was in charge. Normally the Father in Law would do it with me and he had the cloner, and the bigger tent.Normally he'd take my cuttings that I'd labeled, and put them in a veg tent on the very bottom and made sure it was warm in there. Once they had roots I'd grab them and take them outside.
The AC runs in our bedroom all day basically so it's pretty cool in there. I also thought THAT was going to ruin my clones.... I kept thinking "They need warm moist air! They need fan leaves clipped on the fingers! they need a dome!" and then I'd smoke a fat one and be like "Well they sure look good...."
Thank God I had success. We have family coming up to camp with us and they want clones too, so yesterday I cut 2 GMO for them, 2 Motor Breath for them, and 2 Blue Cheese X Mikado for them.
The dude who gave me a Squirt Clone and a Grapefruit Diesel Clone, I cut two for him too, so there's a Sin City Juice clone, and a Black Lime Special Reserve F5 clone I cut for him. All are in the tent now with no light. A few wilted because the Sunlight came out from the clouds and they didn't like that LOL, but they seemed fine after.
Wife rolled me up 3 GMO roach joints. I smoked them ALL. I was very much reminded of why I cloned the shit out of that plant. I LOVE GMO.
