What did you do today?

I did...... a number on my hand. Does that count? My knife opened up in my pocket and cut the shit outta my hand when i went to grab my keys. A little superglue and a few bandaids seemed to stop that warm red stuff that was seeping out.
Lol
I carry a kershaw tactical knife. It sliced the skin off my knuckle and a nice 3" cut across my hand.

Maybe pre-superglue! The bleeding pretty much stopped.

Just the tip got me.

Lol! Glad you didn't hit something and lose use of your hand. Like a year ago I helped the in law take the old pool down and learned how sharp jagged aluminum can be when it's wet. That shit went through my hand so deep too. I think I used a treble hook with a spong on it to get some of it. Lol Catfish can find me

A little superglue
I figured if it works for dumbass pro-wrestlers who are blading all the time, it should work for me.;)

I had a jagged cut from a piece of sheet metal, right at the base of my little finger. It was right through the fold and the callus at the base of the finger, so almost impossible to keep the edges together. Superglue worked way better than the liquid stitch the doctor used.

Used it multiple times since then.

I did cut my pinky down to the bone and severed the ligament when I did auto/residential glass back in 200. I don't have feeling in that finger any longer. I really didn't know I was cut until I seen the blood drops on the tile floor in the kitchen.

I've used "pads" before to stop bleeding. Don't knock it, it works.
Lol

Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers did that too. I've had a Bass string snap on me before.... I've seen a guitar player concerned about those strings doing the same, but man.... the thicker gauge.... that hurt in a special kind of way.

Hey those pads ate good bait for Channel Cats and Bullheads! They go for blood bait but a pad is probably easier to keep on a hook.

The oldest had her first "visit" a while back and was so freaked out, and just mad about it, and she's almost crying like "our Grandparents are taking us to a lake to swim for vacation and I can't even swim!" .... you know me..... I hugged her and said "oh bullshit little ketchup packet give me a not too hard squeeze.... you can literally sit in the water and bring in Catfish totally free....".

Lol she gave that look like "you fucking prick...." but couldn't not cheer up at the same time. Haha.

Took my little one out to get plants for mom for mother's day, washed the car, she has been fascinated with my shiitaki logs, so we went to check on em. BoOm, she harvested for her first time.

The shiitake look fantastic!
Any restock at the Asian market by my house would sell out instantly during the pandemic.
Growing your own is so cool - plus you can be sure of the inputs....

new veggie Garden this year , tilled 3rd time (65ft x 60ft )…. man this is quite the challenge

3 rows hoes and of potatoes ( 6 strains ) planted

4 rows with landscape (4ft) added

need to apply dry amendments , plant and add seed of soooo much, gosh I’m soo burnt out and not sure if I should rack out more the crab grass or just pick it out once its fighting me… aka weeding it ( I’ll admit this is my first time doing large scale field vs beds )

Today was a worm bin maintenance day. Added egg shells, fresh compost, worm chow and some brown grass clippings along with a general moisture balance.
Now that it's getting hot, I will tend my 6 worm bins every 2 weeks as opposed to the 3 weeks during cooler temps. Probably harvest 1/2 the bins in a month. I don't need more bins than I'm now running so, when I harvest, I'll thinn down the numbers by adding 1/2 of the adults to our vegetable garden.
The wife originally was teasing me about being a worm rancher, but since she started using my castings, she's changed her tune! At any given time I'm sitting on 50 gallons of EWC. Organic methods just keep getting better.

measured where all veggie garden needs to be top dressed. Whole lotta fert and I’m soooo thankful I started buying and hoarding my dry amendments 1-3 years ago cause I had a feeling the prices and how shit was going was not gonnea go down price wise. Well I def was right cause so many things I use are now 25-50% more… if only I saw this huge issue before Covid cause man prices were cheaper but also many products were more in stock ( at least for me)

hardest part at least for start is if fertilizer says for non potted 100sqft = 2.5 lb, well in order to know per cup vs weight I’m gonnea have to make a little diary for each bag and know the differences per weight . I don’t wanna overdo it but also be wasteful and if I don’t cement these things in and figure it out later or never that’s a def big loss. I was suggested to apply each line all of em and Premix em and then apply. But man I’ve tried premixing stuff and how dangerous it is to breath and also hard to mix, fuck that

one step at a time!

I now have all my beans organized and catalogued. They are in my personal mini fridge. I'll vacuum seal their cases and place most in the deep freezer.

at best I try to keep an excel sheet of them all listed....but I'm not up to date. I also separated all the "freebie" seeds out to a separate jar so I can practice using those before something I spent cash on :D.

Finally got around to venting the planned flower space, xxl 6" filter was too heavy and needed a 2nd set of hands to get it in place.

I just set up a new 36x20x63 tent. It fits into a little niche {I found another place to put a tent}, and will have the Tripple Pakistani preservation for its maiden voyage! This will allow me to raise the light higher if needed. I will load it today, and once I can take cuttings, they will be flipped. I will pop 1 Fionna's Chem Cakes and 1 Apple bottom in this tent as well. No sense wasting good pollen!
