Good call, and looking out for your grow bro. This AK47F2 from Joey Weed is being pulled. I can't risk seeding Bro's production plants. That is clearly a male flower down low to me. The pistil area up top looks "bi-" to me too.

Super nice guy but way younger, stronger, and more "hip" than I ever was (but couldn't i.d. even the most popular Steely Dan tunes )... but I think seeding his crop might upset him... YATHINK?!looking out for your grow bro
I didn't have any "alternaters" when I topped them so all the tops got tossed. I purposely left eight arms per plant thinking I'd take the lower four as clones "when they alternate". No more than two weeks to flip, probably a day or two less. This is a dilemma for me but I'm leaning this way. Just let em grow unstressed as long as I can before flower and hopefully that growing tip will start alternating nodes before I whack it, then for sure the arms that become the new tops will also be alternating and I should be able to grab more cuts after the first 7-10 days of flower if I don't clean off all the lowers when I cut the tops. I'm hoping more folks will chime in on this one.
Seed plants that didn't have alternating nodes yet (immature?) and I needed to get some sort of training in on these or they;ll be finishing on the second floorwhy toss the tops?? those are totally clonable and usually the only ones I take.
even before they are mature (alternating nodes)? i read years ago they would stop maturing when cut. fake news???Oh they are, was just saying for thrift sake that the tops don’t have to be tossed and that they could, if one chose, be utilized.
Bumping that last question cuz I really need to clear this up in my mind. I plan on several more hunts after this one so I'd like to be clear on this process. Thanks in advance!even before they are mature (alternating nodes)? i read years ago they would stop maturing when cut. fake news???
Alrighty then... I have two opportunities to cut clones between now and the second week of flower. Those lowers are coming off first, then I "may" top the tops depending on how they're looking (or tops first and then the lowers). I'm sure I'll get good directions when that time comes ?.totally fake news.
IME it will def slow them down on sexing when you top them, but will encourage lower growth. The tops that are cut are great for cloning imho, and you can have rooted clones before they've sexed. No need to wait for alternating nodes to clone IME.even before they are mature (alternating nodes)? i read years ago they would stop maturing when cut. fake news???
For the fact-checkers wondering why I didn't wait for alternating nodes and instead topped early... I'm balancing training and growth so as not to be "too far" behind the production plants in the room when it flips in about two weeks. I left eight arms on every plant and intend to take the bottom four from each as my first set next week. I needed that recovery/growth time working for me and alternating nodes were taking too long to show. I'm sure they'll be showing before the first cuts are taken.I'll just wait and let the alternating tops be my "first" cuts in the cloner. The second set right around flip, and possibly a third a week or so into bloom.
I was just trimming mine up this morning. Lol.Oh and how's about that green eh? Way better with food in the water!
And what's your opinion on this "constant" defoliation thing my Bro does?
