Strangest Phenotype ever found ?

One of the plants always grew bigger and stronger then the other. So the weaker always got culled. I’m very picky with who stays and goes. I will throw out plants that are fully flowering if they are up to my standards or are giving me a hard time. Survival of the fittest at the pretzel palace.
I feel ya. Axed a full tent of triangle kush last winter mid bud! Sick of looking at it

yes sir ain’t nobody got time for sub par grows

I have to say that I'm 50/50 on this one, and there's only really ONE reason for my feeling this way:

Candy Kush. Like two years ago, the Father in Law got a clone of Candy Kush, and it did NOT want to grow, and had troubles along the way, but when it flowered out.... OK so the buds were tiny.... But the smell and taste of these things.... He decided he wasn't growing that one again, and I was like shit I will! I'll put her outside! Plant was stressed right out in the tent inside, and it seeded up a little, so I popped one last year and put her outside. The growing itself is a bit of a pain in the ass because at first she won't branch for shit. I ended up bending her down so the side branches got more light, which made it look like Scoliosis Kush, but I had some decent tops on her, and once she was finished up, the buds were much like a bag of chips; Lots of air, not too dense at all, but SO yummy! Now, I'm not growing that one this year because I don't have space, but I did keep some seeds of it just so I can another time, but even the Father in Law was like "I'm not growing that one" because it IS a bit of a pain, but the buds it does produce are just so lovely. The smells run the gamut; Indoor it smelled like Celery at first, and then as it cured went into a Root Beer like smell, and outdoor, mine went from.... I'm not even sure, like a generic floral sweet, to now having a very lovely licorice like smell.

Not something I'd recommend outside of a labor of love, but still worth the effort for personal use.

I found a peculiar growth on one of my outdoor plants yesterday. I've heard of it before, but this is the first time I've seen it. There are new shoots spouting off of a fan leaf stem, some had multiple shoots. I'm pretty sure that once the fan leaf dies, those shoots will as well.

I’ve never heard or seen this before… very interesting. I have seen plants grow a bud in the sender of the fan, and I’ve seen a plant grow a bud where there wasn’t even a node before but never seen this. Very cool my friend

The way I look at plants is definitely on a individual basis..Small yielding plants are not a factor in culling.. difficult plants to grow are not a reason for me to cull..No odor or low odor is not a reason...But when I see a plant that is a basic piece of garbage and I know for fact I have better plants to take it's spot it's doing nothing but taking up valuable space at that point..And when I see a whole pack of phenos mid bud with absolutely zero trichs and poor structure and growth I have absolutely no use for that and can't kill it quick enough once the decision is made..life's short...Time and space is valuable...Only perfect plants survive around me...I surely don't need weed.. especially subpar weed that disgust ya everytime ya look at it...My plants are my happiness...If they don't appear happy I'm definitely not..We all grow for different reasons and my reason is to find something better than I already have ...That alone is enough to keep a guy busy for a lifetime ?

Yes I have ...I started a post about..it was a cookies kush and I was quite worried it would Hermie like a mofo...Ended up being a large yield keeper that I put in every grow

@HBZ farms , I was assuming the shoots die when the fan leaf dies.
Based on your experience, I'm guessing not if it's such a good yielder.
I'll be keeping a close eye on that one.
I wish I would've took closer pics when it was done....some did fall off as the leaves faded and died ..however some of them just the actual leaf fingers faded off and died leaving a chunk of bud right on the leaf stem... Definitely weird...I run clones of this basically non stop and not one time has it happened to a clone...still a big weird growing heavy yield plant tho

Looks like some of the pics I have seen of Dr Grinspoon. Buds look like a string of pearls.

I remember when I first learned who he was; History Channel's "Hooked: Ilkegal Drugs and how they got that way" (Spoiler Alert: it was all racism) and he was one of the people talking on there.

I've seen a strain on the Indian Landrace Exchange that has odd shaped leaves and buds, maybe it's from those genetics ?

Been meaning to put this one in here for a while.

Neville's Haze F2
Strange youve come out with that from f2s although it does look intresting. Looks like plants that come out when nevils haze gets inbred quite alot. Is there anychance you have pictures of the other phenotypes that came out of the f2s please. There are some private batches of nevils haze f2s (about 10 difrent ones all using diffrent parents) that nevil himself made which seem to give totaly diffrent plants, much more stable. Would be intresting to see what came out of your version.

That is the preservation run I did. Ended up using only one male. Happy to pass some along.

There's a few pics on here but since they whooped my ass grow wise, I wasn't too keen on highlighting them.

Most were baseball bat style colas.

Here is one that shows the Grinspoon pheno in the background.

I have something weird going on with the Rhubarb I'm running now, it looks like it has little droplets of blood forming on the buds. It's not that easy to photograph, but here it is:
IMG_20221102_201611998.jpg
There's a drop of the left side & one just below on the leaf. It's sticky, some dried up, too. It's not water, and nothing is dripping on them.
Any ideas?

I am always curious about oddball terps but the most standout weirdo i ever grew was mystery plant that had a chop suey veggy smell. Kinda like the fresh carrot smell i guess. I pressed some with a hairstraightener bc thats how we do out here ? but then the room smelled like someone was cooking! Weird

Something i am always wondering is wt bubblegum terps. I find strong hints of it in many dif plants unexpectedly. I never looked into what terps make bubblegum type smell but i feel like it would be many many combinations that can achieve it.
Its really my most common surprise terp in the garden.
I have a few i keep around that have this taffy kinda smell thats nice. Combos well wt other terp. Not that crazy/weird though
