The men paid $9 each. As stated, $8.33 for the room and $0.66 each for a tip.However...
... the men paid $9 apiece - 3 x 9 = $27
... the bellboy has $2 in his pocket - $2 + $27 = $29.
You be palming that black queen.

That is not so. They paid $10 each, but each was handed a dollar refund. They did not tip the bellhop, which is why he felt justified in pocketing $2 that was not his.The men paid $9 each. As stated, $8.33 for the room and $0.66 each for a tip.

3 x 9 = 27 +2 = 29. Simple as that, regardless of the attempted twisting of the tale.
I am a big guy, I don't agree with violence but, There are too many assholes out there who never got an ass beating for their actions. Simple. Every time I hear a story of this nature, I automatically want to smack their parents. I hope that was a one and done.Over the weekend, somebody broke into my skidsteer... and pissed in it.
What is wrong with people???
Well theres cameras all over so we should know what happened by tomorrow. Its been parked at a city DPW. Which is extra weird because I always assume homeless guy or shithead teenagers in these situations, but they wouldve had to jump a 10' fence with barbed wire to get at it... and that seems like a lot of work just to take a pissI am a big guy, I don't agree with violence but, There are too many assholes out there who never got an ass beating for their actions. I try to be positive, but it doesn't take much to send me back into the shell when in public.
I had good experiences with retail workers and the other folks I encountered yesterday in the city and actually came home smiling for a change. Figured I'd share a bit of my day:
I was waiting at the desk at Cabelas for my new tent and I noticed the gal at the till had really nice frames for her glasses. I make it a habit to try to compliment at least one stranger every time I go to town, so I told her I liked her glasses. She lit right up and thanked me and came out of retail zombie mode and we had a chat while I waited. I mentioned my "compliment" policy and that lit her up even more. She thought it was a great concept.
Then at the lube place, two competent and intelligent young men changed the oil, did a quick inspection, and left me feeling valued, respected and informed. I usually hate those places and their employees.
Went to a mall(barely knew they still existed) on a tip from a helpful kid at Cabelas(?) and asked the gal in the next vehicle if she knew the store I sought. She didn't but was pleasant and wished me well after a few exchanges. Eventually found the store and got my GITD nail polish for fishing lure painting.
On the way out I passed an old Sikh gentleman. On the spur of the moment I greeted him in Punjabi and he answered automatically even as his eyes went wide in surprise and a big smile appeared. I love those responses. (I only know a couple phrases, but that's often all that's needed to open doors )
Got back to the car and the woman was still in the next stall. She saw me coming and asked me how the quest had gone and again, we exchanged a few more words and just had positive pleasant interaction.
Nobody was an ass, nobody cut me off in traffic, staff were competent and courteous.
I'm far from certain, but there may still be some hope.
