Seeds a popen. I modded some this foam for the little sprogs. 3/4” is a little thick for starting in. I’ll give these a week or so then to the thicker foam.
Seeds are super lemon haze x orange Sunday. Or SOS I call them.

So I read that you can start a seed in tissue culture soon after fertilization. So I’m giving this bubba S 1 a rip. Not sure if on is supposed to remove it from the husk. But I just sterilized rinsed and pooped it into some multiplication media. Probly not the right media but I’ll see what happens.

Hey @Jewels i think I remember seeing you soak and pop your seeds in paper towel or some material getting some long tails. I’m looking for some long tails to go straight to net cup collars. Im thinking was you. You have any tricks you’d like to share? I usually just wait for a crack and small tail. But these collars are 3/4 thick. I’d rather not have do dig out of whatever media.
Thanks.

Nothing that I can patent, but it seems to work 😁

I have seen it written on these walls, and I will agree: gas station paper towel works just as good as anything else. Seems to resist root puncture longer.

-Insert the towel until it reaches the bottom of the ziplock.
- Douse paper until saturated, and water accumulates in bottom of bag.
- fold and roll a band across top of paper
Space seeds, and bury with one last fold
-after 24 hours, open the bag and tip it over on its side, while you squeegee out the excess water between your fingers
-zip closed, retaining enough air to keep the sidewalls from touching
The paper will keep itself plastered to the back wall.

When I stuff a dozen or so of these incubators into a shoebox they keep themselves upright. If you were just doing a single, you could thumb tack it to the wall.
In doing so, you have left an avenue for gravity to take the roots straight downhill. Typically they will ride the paper all the way to the bottom, without bonding.

I use two drops of bleach in 500 mL of water, and just let them ride.
Typically I will see action in 48 hours, and they only get bigger , if I leave them in there for days and days.

It was you haha. Ya I remember them long roots. I think we have that paper at work. I’ll have to give it a go. That’s exactly what I need. Thanks for the detailed explanation.

Thanks mate. Yes I did make someMTF seed. And do have another small batch ripening. I like it it grows thick stem. Smells great. Crossed it to bubba. They are quite similar. I’ll send ya some when I have some spare. My keeper clone. In the cloning bucket right now. Tried S1. Not sure how many took. I’ll have to try again. Some said oh growing some weak old stuff. Not MTF.

Stinkbud hydro is starting to take off. Mothers were not on prime so cuts lagged a bit. But I’m to the point of no more root checking. Still need a window haha.
I culled this MTF. She Probly would have caught up but the top was still a bit laggy even though the roots look real nice.
Popped in a clone of triangle kush.
I’m liking the oh I’ll just take off for 3 days and not worry. And I’m only running about 4L in the res.
I ordered some end caps. I’d like to have them removable for when harvest is over so I can take apart and give a quick scrub.
Opposite high end won’t need anything but the lower end has to be leak proof. Maybe puddy? Also not leaving the end opens to drain. Will be a 1” hose back to res.

The cappuccino 3000 was fired up last night. Popped some old king tut x beans the @Jewels way. Paper towel in baggy hung vertical. Worked great. I’ll see how they do. Just added my normal fert about 450ppm jacks. May be a bit much I did put cups over to keep RH up if they are up and eager I’ll probly remove the cups this morning.

Dang that's a bit low. Lol. I had a meter do that awhile back. Hope it didn't cause damage to the plants in its f ing up, or was it caught in time?
