I love music but have literally no ability. Maybe could play a triangle. So jealous of people who can play instruments well. I can throw down on a kazoo, so theres that. Music takes me places, reminds me of people, changes my mood and motivates me. There is a Black Sabbath tribute album that makes me feel like I could run through walls. Have a place for most music from the 50's through maybe 1993. Anything later than that Im just now being exposed to through pandora. Some of the harder stuff has left the playlist Loved ministry. a long time ago. My kids are scared of it.

We had a 20 min video made of my son/our lives together for his Celebration of Life. First song was "Fluff".....last song was "Laguna Sunrise". Had a few older folks comment afterwards that they saw "Black Sabbath" listed in the memorial handout.....and were kinda taken back.....then when they heard the tunes.....they understood.... That shit gooes deep in me. We tripped hundreds of times with Sabbath as the soundtrack. The 8-track (god I loved those days...LOL) would paly over and over until someone had their shit together enough to get up and put somethin else on...LOL. You know what I'm sayin' if you were there.... heehee...

A couple of my musical heroes right here. I've met Todd more than once...bought dinner for his entire band/crew one night in Denver....and got to sit down and just fuck him up but GOOD on some of my old "Wheelchair" pot more than once as well. He was so rocked he left our hotel room without any of the shit he brought with him....and about 10 minutes later we heard a soft knock at the door...only to find a rocker with a sheepish grin on his face saying "I think i must have forgotten all my shit...LOL" I love the Philly connection that runs through all of this....

Had a friend who listened to Changes for like 10hrs after a break up and a few tabs We'd check on him every hour or so. Must have been cathartic because he never looked back and blew his ex off later. Cant hear it without seeing him.

I used to sit in our attic as a young kid listening to boxes and boxes of 45's. My mom always had music on in the house when I grew up and now I need music. Trying to ingrain it into my kids. They are starting to appreciate it finally. Mornings in my house without music get ugly, music keeps everyone happy and moving. At least keeps me from being a grumpy dick.
