I hear you. Those are old school strains. After a certain amount of time strains become "fair use".
For example, if I put out fems of Slymer for sale (which I am making, but not necessarily to distribute atm) without touching base with Bob Bitchen, I think that's a bit disrespectful and a social fopaux. Crosses would be fair game tho.
But I respect Bob Bitchen more than In House.
There are exceptions. Big companies, well who cares they will be fine. If places charge ridiculous amounts for a pack, remake it and sell em cheap. That's reasonable. Aficionado comes to mind.
Also if anyone has any Pineapple Thai from 707, makes some seeds. It's on my wish list but 200 is alot. I've heard the guy is cool, but maybe too cool for me at 200 a pack.

if a breeder puts a strain out for sale then he/she is giving up control of said strain. to make a sale a strain then tell ppl they cant work with it or swap with there friends is just bullshit.
anything i release is useable by ANY ONE for ANYTHING. you got f1 and want f2 just do it, if im still working the line im pretty sure your not going to be making the same selection and or hybrids that im going to be making with those same f1. this shit has gotton so in the ditch its not even fing funny any more.
cuts for 5000 dollars seeds for 3000 dollars WHAT THE HELL has happened this is just crazy ass none sense.
may be this is why i can not get a legit cheese cut, ppl know i will get it to the ppl.
AGAIN if you have or ever get ANYTHIG JAWS GENETICS/GEAR you 100% can do what ever the hell you want to with them. i want you to work with my creations i want you to share cuts with your friends i want you to fucking enjoy the plants you spend moths on growing.

ohh ya forgot i have a pack of seeds headed my way from a well known breeder and its one i have been searching for as far back as 2006 i think. and i have another here with me that i am pretty excited to get going, those two will put out a new piece which i think is going to be just killer. name has been chosen already and my friend approves of the name and thinks it will be super awesome as well.
so im not sure yet if im going to show case my opening work with making a new cheese strain, i have the first two strains picked out to begin with. there in front of me now in there germination containers. i think either could be a really GOOD cheese strain but im after something more then just a good piece, so these two will be breed putting out my FIRST main cheese strain. at that point i'll need to pick two more do the breed then take those two strains and create JAWS CHEESE ahh no thats not going to be the name, i have a pretty cool name already picked out.
should be a full summer for-sure ..

Oh believe me, I'm rooting for you like a good clone. I've been searching myself, which isn't easy, but I also know I'm not the only one looking. As soon as I can get word on a good one, my first thought is going to be getting it out to everyone, so we don't lose it. Besides, I'd want a climate controlled bank vault to house her in.
I haven't ran any of your stuff yet, but it's only a matter of time. I see your list all the time and have to pick my jaw back up LOL.

I think we're reading the same book, just on different pages. I respect your opinion, I just see the situation from a different perspective.
The last few paragraphs I do agree with, some of these big name breeders are too greedy with the prices they ask per pack.
If someone did a reproduction and charged lower prices than the original breeder than I have no problem with that.
I'm not a fan or people hoarding genetics either, we've came so far in the cannabis industry for people to be greedy now. I'd say spread the love, If a strain is so great than everyone should have access to it.
If I was going to use someone's genetics to create my own strain for sale than I'd ask for permission out of respect and common courtesy, but that also depends on the situation. But if you're not selling the crosses, permission isn't warranted.

I appreciate that. Agree to disagree is the best you can get sometimes.
Things have changed alot. Maybe I'm behind the times. In an ideal world yes everyone should have access to everything. But it's also questionable to just rip off someone else's hard work just to make profit.
Now gifting seeds, or making your own reproductions or crosses, that's all fair game as far as I'm concerned.
Anyway to get back on track, I need to make a plan for what to run outdoors this year. Gonna try 2 runs of autos then one big photo finish. Can have 4 mature 4 immature so I'll try to stick to that, outside at least.
The autos are fresh. The outdoor 2nd pic are old seeds. Doubt they will pop, stored poorly.
I need to look into if anything I have is semi-auto. @Shoreline mentioned his Bubblegum was semi auto. Malana and Purple Satelite I picked because they are described as early finishers. I'm at 45N, so they have to be somewhat early to guarantee finish. Last year we had a nice long season tho.

Well I decided it was time to work thru the thousands of beans I have hoarded like a Dragon hoards gold, 😂 here is what I pulled out today...ECSD X Choc Diesel, Indiana Bublegum S1, SFV clone x Long Bottom Fighter, Strawberry Diesel x Sour cookies, Strawberry Diesel, Pineapple Overdose, Schwaggy's Chem D x Granny Skunk, Hawaiian Indica x Wookie and Wifi 43 x 88g13HP all got wet today! 48 seeds total, Spring is almost here and the cold has left me, I'm ready to rock!

I'm getting to old, I need to blow thru some seeds and actually enjoy as much of what I have aquired as possible. The Strawberry Diesel is Classics version, I have a bunch of them and there is some fire in those seeds, I need to find one I want to keep around for retirement. Getting old sucks. It's all about Time, there doesen't seem to be enough of it anymore!

I put these in water yesterday afternoon, and almost all are showing tails. All the Puck Yes XX seeds popped. I use PH'd water and couple drops of hydrogen peroxide to soak them, I always have good success this way - I dropped the paper towel method a long time ago.
