Hey guys, been running through the smoke tests on the 3strain run I finished at the end of February.
My nose, and to a lesser degree, my taste has returned to almost normal so any real impressions on taste and smell are limited.
Initial take: Overall, the Sour Skippy(Peanut Butter Breath x Citrus Milf) takes the cake. Great smell, taste, and high. The purple-y Sour Skippy #3, the takeaway winner of the entire grow. I'm not familiar enough with Citrus Milf to judge that end of her spectrum but out of the four plants, she was what I think is an excellent representation of both cultivars. Sour/Citrus/Nut/Earth
The Apple Bottom(Apple Fritter x Citrus Milf) ranks #2 in terms of taste and smell overall. The yield was somewhat disappointing but I'm not sure how much that has to do with me than the genetics. There's a lite butterscotch that hits the nose and quickly dissolves into a fruity smell but not sweet. I'll touch on this strain more in "What Are You Smoking On Today" thread when I can give fair judgement. So far nothing there that sparks any real interest.
I'm currently working on the Greases Pieces S1. All throughout the grow, this one really didn't demand any recognition. None of them were, by definition, beautiful plants, in fact they were kind of odd(dat blockhead look) and nothing about the smell was amazeballs like its parentage.
Initial smoke tests were lackluster because I couldn't smell correctly. The high was good.
Now that everything has sat for over a month, things are starting to get better.
I've been smoking Greases Pieces S1 #3 specifically, all week(in between Dino bites).
The smell is still kind of mysterious to me, neither PBB nor GG4. All three plants are very similar in smell but I haven't touched #2 yet other than an early joint after dry. But let me tell you, the high on #3 is phenomenal. Better than anything else from the run.
I made out like a bandit on this run. There's nothing I don't like and while yield wasn't great on a couple, I still have more than I need and quite a bit of the ones I really like.
I snagged a 7-pack of the Sour Skippy from POTM and Red gave me some GP v.2 and those will definitely be getting wet in the future.
Thanks again for the opportunity to run your gear
@HydroRed. This is the first grow I've successfully pulled off with no other inputs than water, food, and paint strainers ?.
I can really taste the difference.
