Anyone know how to find a growing mentor?

Agreed.

I'll throw this out for the OP and anyone interested, I personally recommend Holmes 6" fans. Best clip-ons I've found by far. I have 7 going right now in my smaller tents. 4 of them are over two years old and you can't tell the diff between them or the newest 3 as far as performance and sound. Only by a little grime build up on the cages.

Heavier than most other clip-ons, they just seem super tight. They move air and they are quiet as hell.

Do you guys also recommend that I get the blue labs ph/ppm pen combo? I know this is separate from the fans (which I will get). My question about the fans would be, are they in addition to the intake fan? So they can blow over the top kinda deal?
The clip-on fans or oscillating fans we mention are for in your tent to keep airflow moving.

When we mention intake or exhaust, it's for air exchange/cooling.

Blue Labs is a highly recommended brand as far as pH/ppm/ec

I've never used one but Bluelabs in general has been great to me. Only reason I'd consider separate meters is if I recall correctly the BL combo meter only does liquids so you can't check the pH of your growing medium if your in soil or coco. Not that you should need to all that often but its handy if your root zone pH ends up out of balance

Ok! I think I saw one with a soil prob and obviously it was like $70 bucks or so more expensive.

You can do this also.. but yes you need air moving 24/7/365

Yeah, I actually prefer the tower fan. They last much longer and move more air

I got this vremi 20 pint dehumidifier that was barely used. Is this too big for a 4x4? I ask because when you turn this bad boy on it feels like it’s blowing cool air. I want to ensure that I can keep the temps and RH where they need to be.

Your going to have that in the room..and pull air from the room into you6 tent then out you're tent..you say you have a window in this room...you can vent your air out of it if you want....

For years I used handheld ph/ppm pens, after I bought my first guardian ( now I have one for each grow room) I would never go back (been 5+years )and when the probe fails, just replace the probe and it has a 1 year warranty and bluelab is a great company for quality and costumer service .

example of product I’m referring to “ guardian “

Yea I’m going to put up a picture of my space prior to setup I feel like I have a couple options as far as venting goes. I wanted to get your guys feedback as to what might be best w the space I’m working w

i would vent in "cold air" vs exhausting your grow rooms air. doing that (exhausting your issues/heat )not only gives away your grow rooms smell. you will have to use more power by a huge % to cool it vs bringing in cooler air and having the inline fan on a temp controller

plus if you do co2, more sealed and less exhaust = the better and less cost on ya. co2 exp once the room is properly stabilized you can easily run a hotter room and the co2 and higher nutes will bring 20-35% more vigorous results and yields.

Sealed is the only way i would do and some co2, if not thats a huge degradation of your final and plants results, it would be like suffocation with air for a human and wondering why they cant complete their workouts or live as good.

with co2 and higher ppffd =
900-1500 ppm co2, in flower i try to do 1000-1350ppm and on last two weeks before harvets i gradully lower co2 each day and hit till 900-1000ppm to not only save cash but also uneeded .
feed based on co2, so if co2 900 ppm, feed @ 900ppm
tip for feeding:
seedling-3rd week start with 1/4th strength base (epsom @ 1/4 cup per 50 gal whole veg cycle) and anything else your giving at start-mid veg stage, than gradually raise ppm 300-500 mid range veg to 5th week, 5th week-8th week/end of veg gradually raise 500-750ppm
flower feed: first week of bloom ( even in veg stage a week before flipping them to flower stage) = add some bloom booster at 50% for a week before bloom-end fo week 1 bloom. For epsom rate for 1st week-5th week apply at 1/2 cup per 50 gallons than week 2-5 gradually raise your bloom base and misc based on ppfd and co2 and once u hit 5th week apply 3/4 of a cup per 50 gallons epsom salt + PK bloom booster at 25-50%
like co2 and everything your plant intakes, its all about gradually giving more and not over doing any of the inputs or its not only wasteful but stress.
temps 78-86f on canopy
water 68-75f, it can be warmer but biggest issue alot of people they dont uv clean their water if it isnt city water. then they dont sterilize their rez everytime. those things are asking for bad pathogens go wild in organics. if you sterilize and have a preventive scheme for such those issues will be at bay but also you can have waayy longershelf life on your rez/feed before going "bad"

best anti pathogen "viriusicide " on the market , clean ur grow room, anything contact with and prevention if not removed for 14 days or guratee very hard virus and molds killed, bleech is more dangerous and cant compete :

Learn VPD for running a true led room and what a plant wants, you cant play god cause thats why so many peoples grows and plants look bad cause its not what the plant desires

best wireless moniter for temp, humidity, vpd, pressure and PPFD and much more. its a game changer on not fucking up. dont tell pulse i would pay 10x the price and still be happy ;)
