So I’m in need of some help from everyone on two things. First is everything ok or is this thing herming? The calyxes look very strange to me but this whole grow has been weird tbh. And 2. Should I keep it going or call it quits?
First off I’ll start by saying I’m not one to ever grow a strain that takes longer then 120 days from sprout to flower for me a 30-40 day Veg then 80 days of flower is long enough to wait but this one will have me way past that if I keep going.
So this is a “ballroom funk” GMO X Swayze f2 bred to f2 by Amos
I flipped this girl in mid March and she hasn’t really been giving me the flowering speed I’m used to. She didn’t even start to stretch till like day 25-30 of 12/12 then preflowering didn’t start till like day 45. Today has to be past 60 days. I lost my post-it with my flip date so idk exactly the day but I flipped her a week or so before April fools day. Now saying all of this and the developmental stage she’s at rn. I think it might have some serious potential with yield and trich production. Then I come back to the calyxes that look weird af to me. Maybe they are leafy, still developing and my mind is making me think they look like weird. ?♂️ I’m kinda asking what I should do cause I’m at a cross roads. I’m personally leaning toward chopping her down as I can only give a girl so much time and this one is taking a bit to long. But man do I hate giving up on a plant.

It does look a bit strange deep down below the pistils but it’s hard to tell from that photo. Can you get us a close up and maybe dig in deep into the base of those mids and lowers and see if anything is funny there, that’s usually where problems arise if they’re not immediately apparent.

Both sprouted on 5/11 so they are going to be getting put into there forever homes tomorrow. I’m really excited for both of these. The crème de la cosmos has some serious terps and colors. Then the M & Q gets almost white buds with dark colored fans in cooler temps. Def gonna try for some color with these ones.

I’ll take a better photo of more bud sites tomorrow. I have my timer set up at such a weird time it’s a pain to get any photos of my flower tent and i don’t like to ever open it even for a few min when it’s not lights on. Thanks for the response.

Got 3 Blackberry sugarcane F2s flipping tomorrow,
Got 1x SLS Mac x chosen one in the veg tent,
Then I had a 5x Pure Michigan F3 pop up yesterday.
And I got 2x Blackberry Stomper that popped and one straggler I’m hoping will push on through.

She’s a weirdo I’ll tell you that much. Even Amos said he never heard of one glong this long. And I scanned all over for info about it and everyone says between 70-80 days tops in flower so I got something weird going on I know that it’s just… is the weird going to pay off or is it time to cut ties..Good lord! That’s gotta be an outlier in the gene pool....I hope, considering I’ve got a few going myself!

I have run Night Owl, he has got some new fire with his lines. I ran a lot of Mephisto autos early in the game, but I strayed away when Nate from Humboldt Seed Company started doing autos with his own photo lines. His auto lines have very low variation, very uniform phenos and like Twenty20 they are autos from their photo stuff and been around the scene for quite a while.
There have been great improvements with autos now, all the popular breeders are working auto lines.
I prefer to do autos along the vegging photos cuz I can’t stand waiting for my photos to finish flowering.
I’m not a pro or nothing, I don’t do any better than anyone else, just love the plant and all it’s glory.

So the GMO x Swayze f2 (long hauler) just wasn’t making me happy. So she has left the building.
Up potted blackberry sugarcane f2s and Midnight frost. Trained and topped them all.
Above is the “Midnight Frost F1 females I got this round. I have to say I really love the structure of this plant. Every lower branch is growing out and up creating a perfect little bush that would of had a nice sized main protruding out of the center but since I topped them both now they will just be my little midnight frost bushes.
Below: All 3x BlackBerry Sugarcane F2s have been HST’d. The lateral branches in the BBSCf2 aren’t coming out so I topped 2/3 and the last one I am going to Manifold that one and try to really get some weight off her

This is getting to be quite a nice size with the full bush like structure, lots of sturdy laterals coming up toward the main. She has just started to stretch so I trained the main down to create a more uniform canopy. She doesn’t mind LST or leaf ducking at all, I was afraid to too since I only ran one this time to see how she handled. So far I’m liking what I see. I wasn’t to impressed with the mephisto I ran so far but the night owl is exactly the opposite.
Shes in a 2gallon pot I folded down to a 1gallon. Coco Coir/perlite medium, fed Blue Planet Farmers Pride Organic Liquid Nutrients since week 2 and is being switched over to House and Garden Coco 2part plus root excel gold until harvest.
She’s feeding at 800-1000ppm and no nute burn. PH is a steady 6.0 with every feeding. Being fed 2x weekly and water+recharge 2x weekly. She will soon need to be waterd daily and will be fed almost daily as well. With these 1gallons I’ve noticed autos drink them dry super fast.
(35 days from sprout) Lst and tucking only, no defoliation or topping yet.

Again with the Vigor! Night owl your impressing me. This like CDLCosmos was up potted from jiffy plugs to solos then solo to a 1gallon and they did stop growing for a couple days but didnt show any signs of stress. This cultivar seems to have a similar structure to it’s half sister. This one having a more bit more singular main with lateral branching bushing out to make lots of satellite colas, She is very sturdy though and will be getting some much needed LST soon so that should bush her out and make a nice full uniform canopy also. This strain has much tighter nodal spacing then the CDLCosmos.
She’s in a 1gallon fabric pot with coco coir/perlite and was fed Blue planet Farmers Pride liquid organic nutrients from 2 weeks until now. She will be begging House&Garden cocos 2 part plus roots excel gold from next feed until harvest. This one really hasn’t started to stretch yet so she may get a lot bigger with that sativa dominance.

In full bloom now each picture is a different plant however they all look pretty similar. I need to pull them all out here soon and take some detailed notes to help with narrowing down keepers for the next run.(1gal) this girl is in the smallest container of all the BBSCF2 but some how she’s the biggest ?♂️ and needs watered at least 1x per day. This girl is also the one that is stacking incredibly well. She already has a spiral staircase forming around the main cola.
(Manifold/mainlined plant) this one I have some seriously high hopes for. All the tops look white when the light is on full blast. She’s also the smallest plant because of being trained so hard. Idk if it was all the topping and bending that brought out that extra frost or if it’s just this Pheno but I’m definitely excited to find out.
(Bonsai BBSC) this girl is gigantic! She was super leggy as a seedling and instead of burying her up to the cotyledons I just kept bending and maneuvering the main to make it stronger. Now it leans one way and has this massive canopy. This plant also has the largest fans of all the BBSCf2.

This is the first Second Gen strain I’ve ever run, and I’m kinda glad I picked this one to get my feet wet. Both females I have if this are growing vigorously and have kept right up with the BBSCf2 with flowering progress.
These girls showed sex in Veg, had preflowers at 10 days from flip and were fully flowering at day 17 from flip. What has really drawn me into loving this strain. Is the structure, these are not small plants by any means and I have them in 1gallon pots. They easily are 3-4ft tall and have multiple tops on each bush. They take to topping and training very easily and have some serious stem strength.

Both is these just like the BBSC are getting a little frosty already. The only difference is these smell phenomenal. I’m getting dark yet sweet berries with an almost bilberry muskiness and then a gas or diesel fuel note on the end. Very very intrigued!
This is probably the most full I’ve ever had this tent. Normally I keep my plants rather small to where you can tell which strain is which and see the pots.. well these Midnight frosts had a different plan in mind.
The plant closest to the front and the one on the back left that looks a touch darker green then the rest are both the midnight frost. All the rest are Blackberry sugarcane F2s

You really gotta love that House and Garden Coco A and B in flower and that Blue Planet in Veg. I am Super happy with how healthy these girls look.
