Man that sucks but chalk it up and move on. I've lost so many through the years but the worst is having seedlings and then mice/rats or even snails/slugs munch 'em down. I've had both happen. 2-3 weeks of dreams gone to waste and having to start again.

I've been using those with coco coir and pretty easy. I keep them wet until the seeds pop and there's enough oxygen in the coco to make it work.

and I always save them for starting seeds. I have no luck with the paper towel method and found this here works best for me.

The paper towel method works pretty well for me, I just don’t let the tap roots get too big, once they start poking out it’s straight to the dirt.

Yeah, I'm just not gentle enough with the paper towel method I guess. I've tried it with veggies too and very little success rate so I went back to what I know?

I always have the best luck with straight to soil after a soaking until they crack. The less you handle them the better.

Just one more thing about this hobby I love, how different methods work for people. We all learned from some trial and error and that will continue as we try new things and it all adds to our accumulated knowledge.

Back to my normal method and we now have liftoff. Got some Baharak Hashplant x Choco Chiba, and some of the Sour Dubb/Sour Diesel Bx x Lemon Diesel that I made. Will be starting some more fairly soon as well, figured I would stagger them out a little this time so I don’t have them all at the same stage.

So only one seed didn’t come up and that was one of my Sour Dubb/Sour Diesel BX x Lemon Diesel. The other 9 are looking good. All 10 of the Baharak Hashplant x Choco Chiba are looking nice as well. Going to be popping 10 more beans this weekend. The 3 Greases Pieces testers from @HydroRed that are expected to land that day and one of 2 packs from CSI. Just haven’t decided which one.

I’ve got a pack of the Notsodog Headband x Chem #1 and Sherbert x Chem D, any suggestions on which one to pop? Haven’t tried any of his work before.

Brutal on all of those seeds not coming up, but good thing you had more. I’m running the last beans I have of Sour Dubb Diesel this run myself. Best of luck with this go at it!

Here are my little seedlings. The first pic is the Sour Dubb/Sour Diesel BX x Lemon Diesel and the second is the Baharak Hashplant x Choco Chiba. I don’t know much about either of those. The Baharak is supposed to be have nutty spicy type profiles in it and the little that I have found on Choco Chiba sounds a bit far fetched but who knows. Either way it is supposed have a Chocolate malt kinda thing going on so it should be an interesting mix.

Yeah it was a bummer, I live to grow another day though. Sour is one of my all time favorites, still remember the first time smoking it I was blown away!

That’s the one that I’m leaning towards at the moment as well. Both the cuts used aren’t very common so I’m curious as to how the cross will be.

Been a minute since I posted anything here, but I started a bunch of seeds yesterday so there will be more to come soon. As I said in other threads I have been slacking with my plants for the last month so not much to show. That said the girls in the pic have handled it all like champs. These are a couple of the Headband/LA Kush x Chem #1. They will be getting new shoes very soon.


As for the seeds that were started I have Mothers Milk F2 from @HydroRed, Stardawg F2 from Hazeman, Midsicle from @Dino Party, and Sherbert x Chem D from CSI.

Hell yeah those are some plants for sure. You can tell on account of them having leaves, performing photosynthesis, drinking through roots n shit. Yep those are plants alright! Looks good too!
