they say that the fastest way to get a correct answer, is to post the wrong info on the Internet.

Back in the day when I was into "Computer Hacking" the easiest way to get a question answered was to insult the type of software you were trying to understand; You'd have PHDs replying in droves to tell you how great it is and why, thus answering your question, to defend their software LOL.

This started because of the elitist attitudes in the community; If you had a question, they would inevitably reply with the dreaded "RTFM", or worse "RTFS".... LOL.

As for your question ? Well, I've not used those before, but the only way to find out is to try right?

nope, soil food. if i feed those billions of tiny fungal and bacterial moths, they'll support the plant better than any nutes will.

don't sleep on chicken shack, bro. maybe romeo or novi has a Popeyes i won't get stabbed at, i could do that.

Chicken Shack is good, I just haven't been to one in a while.

I like the living soil too :) you ever heard of Sugar Daddy from TechnaFlora? I use that to feed the microbes myself. Good stuff!

heard of bud boosting carbs, yes. haven't used much, sample of botanicare sweet, and then molasses. i was running heavy salts, so i doubt anything was alive to eat the carbs besides the fucking springtails.

the two 'self topping freaks' are still alive. one is putting out leaves, although ugly, and straight to alternating phyllotaxy after just two pair of ugly single bladed leaves, but the other fluke is stalled at 3 single blades, but just this morning i noticed two small growths near the intersection of the first leaves, and where the third one pops out, like it's trying to push out two branch buds! c'mon lil stinky tree, you got it!

i actually watered them for the first time today, versus tiny carefully metered sips. i feel like i should have added more aeration to my base.

two of the first four i transplanted are showing slight stress on the serrations and haven't greened up. looks like the time i had salty coir from botanicare. the other two are darker, and perkier.

the old wisdom was that you can't do dry organic amendments in Coco. it was never fully explained why though. something about decomp, iirc. i guess some new learning is in order.

any tips on getting rid of theses horrible shutter roll stripes in my image besides a digi ballast or LEDs? enjoy my dial-up friendly images, lol.

who remembers when the Internet was a robot that screamed at you over the phone? biiiii-biiiii-biiii-boooooo-pshaaaaaah!

ok. sort-of studio with LEDs.

first up, lighter green than the rest, and leaves always stayed floppy. looks overwatered and heat stressed, but it's not. I'm watching.

group shot, plus shots in pairs. baseball for scale, no banana. 26 days of ≈19/5

oops. left the tape on.

confession time. i figured if i have them individual names instead of platinum garlic 1, platinum garlic 2, etc, I'd care more for them. so they reach got names based on some physical attribute that stood out. prima viva was the first one to sprout. tattoo had purple tribal tattoo looking markings on the underside of the cotyledons. frenchy came up without the usual seedling hair, except a patch at the base of the cotyledons, like an armpit. night shift was the last one to pop.

thank you for attending my TED talk ;p

first preflowers at node 6 on tattoo and night shift, node 5 on frenchy.

yeah, whoop-dee-doo! they're just preflowers, and they're indeterminate at this time, but they're my first ones on a long while.

a lot of growth on the nub on that 3 legged freak. maybe ⅛ inch(3mm). it's got 3 big single finger leaves making energy, it's gotta go somewhere. a week ago i would have given it odds of 90% stalling at 3 leaves. today, I'd say there's a 90% chance I'll have a branch within a week. IMG_20230622_004252302_HDR.jpg
looks like a tiny single blade leaf, and a pale white apical mess.

any experience with these? what can i expect? it's already way behind.

Usually, when mine do shit like that, it’s because I got a little gung ho with nute levels too early. It sucks, and stalls them for a bit, but, yeah, they should shape up eventually 👍

for sure not. I'm in peat and shredded newspaper disguised as earth worm castings. they were eating the cotyledons after 10 days.

the two rainbow cookie freaks are still chugging along. the one with alternating phyllotaxy is going to have the strangest knot in it's stem! the other one might fork into two with one lead dominant. i up-potted them last night, cuz why not, daddy deeby got love for the freaks!

checking for preflowers i was intimate enough that a few of them shared smells with me. the single platinum Kush breath smell hit me right in the childhood nostalgia. i just couldn't place it, but i KNEW that was a familiar smell. then it dawned on me, it smelled like when my mom used to get a perm! I'm excited, I've never detected perm as a funk in herb.

jheri curl kush, the motor city cut. elite shit.

gonna cross it with male (gold cash gold x gangsta breath) and call it 'Fuck yo couch'

night shift got frisky and showed me her pee-pee hairs last night! i got at least one girl!

somebody take this microphone away from me, please.

Happy one month birthday to the platinum garlic!!!

I've got two showing pistils under 19/5, and one that looks awfully dudely, although I've been fooled before by late/small pistils and odd calyx morphology. I'd be ecstatic of one was a dude, not for breeding purposes, but to know this batch wasn't from a ladyboy.

but if i get a dude, i could launch my beans from kropduster and make:
Cambodian road kill X platinum garlic
call it 'week old pad thai' or 'work fridge'
purple tuna X platinum garlic
call it tuna salad IMG_20230626_204608644.jpg
3 big solar panels building that tiny bud. it's doubled in size in 24h. i don't think there's an apical bud in the left growth, but the one to the right, and the one hidden under the reveg looking leaf might have one, so i still have hope.

the organic feed regimen mistake so far hasn't given me any issues besides highly accelerated growth, and healthy shades of green 😎 root growth is nutty, and i already could use a transplant. more roots more fruits!

in case there's a correlation between preflower emergence and flowering time, night shift was first, tattoo and frenchy tied for second, and prima viva hasn't shown any preflowers. frenchy appears to be male as of now(odd because frenchy is really stacked, node wise, not stretchy like a dude)

spotted a single fungus gnat yesterday. smashed two of them copulating today. is neem cake effective here(too late? top dress?)? or stick to mosquito dunks? or is there something else organic? my pots are filled too high to do the perlite or sand thing, and that doesn't address the bottom holes. run a fan on high for two weeks, lol?

still no smell on rainbow cookies, at least the two big ones.

they been behaving, so i got them some candy. rocking it at ¼ strength mainly for the microbes, sugars, and humic acid.

lots of overnight growth.

30-40 years ago, this would have still been part of the gene pool in the next year. i doubt a mountain farmer from jalisco would have put the effort in to find and cull this. could these freaks provide an evolutionary window to the past? could the gene for obscene thcv be located on a gene that codes for ugly foliage? could the gene for apical bud formation also regulate terp precursors?

or i think maybe things like this aren't genetics at all, but rather momma had things a little jumbled when she did the assembly.

scenario 1 is very interesting, but i think scenario 2 was much more likely.

oh, and 27 days old. got more roots than a bad dye job!
