I'll be documenting my 3x3 LED organic soil indoor grow here.
I have three strains from different breeders.
20230703_085225.jpg
1) The Nature Farm: Red Pakistani
(Red Lebanese HP x Pakistani Heirloom)

2) Sanctuary Gardens: Diesel Stomper (Blue City Diesel x Grapestomper OG)

3) Bodhi: Air Guitar ( Temple x Wookie)

Soilless container mix:
I've been working my own soil mix for awhile and here's the recipe I've settled on. It works great in fabric pots.

Easy Soil Mix (10 Gal recipe)
*Unit of measurement for Base
Mix: 5 Gal

1 part fluffed CSPM*

.5 part Compost/Vermicompost* (Did Malibu Compost)

.5 part Perlite*

1.5 Cups Oyster Shell/aragonite mix

1.5 Cups Gypsum

2 Cups Rock Dust (Basalt flour)

3 Cups Dry Fertilizer (Perfect Blend Organic 4-4-4)
Mix and moisten. Let sit minimum 1 week covered from sun before planting; to encourage microbial population and soil buffering before use.
20230702_132836.jpg
Some Santa's Beard action. Stuff's been sitting over a week, ready to use.

Germinating direct in the soil in Solos, with a sprinkle of Dynomyco in there with the seed. I plant the seeds as deep as my first knuckle and pack the soil down before I spray everything down with a spray bottle. This way I almost never have any seeds popping above ground with the helmets attached, you gotta give them some depth and friction to rub those off. Honestly I get very close to 100% germination using this method, not bothering with soaking/paper towel sprouting.
Planted 4 seeds of each and looking for one fine female of each strain. Just planted this morning.

Saturday 7/15

Well, by 7/10 all the Red Lebanese had sprouted. They were very small and seem less vigorous than the other strains. One is a runt with a lot of cystolithic hairs that doesn't seem to have grown at all in days. One Air Guitar never popped (I dug down on 7/12 and it hadn't popped a tail so I squished it).
On top of that, seems the compost I used may have housed a bunch of fungus gnat eggs, so I've been cranking fans and adding mosquito dunks to my water, just waiting on sticky traps. This will be the first time I've dealt with them in a tent, never had this problem before as I like to dryback pretty well.
Now all the seedlings have the wavy leaves, I'm guessing from the fans blowing hard. Got out the Blue Lab and soil is at 5.8-6.0, so I think it's all good in that respect. Besides the wavy leaves, the seedlings seem healthy enough.

Always a good time trouble shooting the grow!

Wednesday 7/26

The plants are growing pretty good now. I had to hang yellow traps to get rid of the fungus gnat issue.
Turns out the Red Pakistani plants all display some degree of mutation.

I have the runtiest runt that ever runted
20230726_102607.jpg
The other 3 are more normal, and starting to catch up to the rest. 20230726_102642.jpg
The Diesel Stompers, thick leaves with deep serrations similar to the Nocturnal plant I grew out from the same breeder. You can see there are a little mutations present like the fused leaf that looks like ducksfoot.
20230726_102650.jpg
Air Guitars are looking good, they already have good structure.
20230726_102646.jpg
All the plants had some wavy leaf action on the first couple leaf sets but they're growing out of it.
Things are looking up now and soon enough I'll get them in new containers to sex, and get their first feeding.

Wednesday 8/2

Transplanted the 10 plants into larger bags on 7/29.
The little Red Lebanese had grown tons of roots, and the other strains were looking good too.

Here's some Diesel Stomper roots.
20230730_202155.jpg
Added 1 gal soil to each bag, made an imprint with the cups, and added Dynomyco. Then I place the transplant in and top them off a little. (That's my boy Maui he's big af) 20230730_200533.jpg

I watered them in with my Ferticell Microelements 1-0-0 and Explorer 16-0-0. I use dry fert in the soil and then I use soluble chelated micronized fertilizer during the grow. 20230731_202940.jpg
Here they are today on the 2nd of August.

The Red Lebanese are growing out of the freakiness, one of them is now the tallest of the bunch... but there's one cool leaf mutation I haven't seen before, I gotta get a shot of it next time.

Saturday 8/5

Here's the Red Lebanese with the whorled phyllotaxy, has one fan leaf that split down the middle and spiraled, and a new three leaf set. Haven't seen this in person yet, trippy.

Tent is smelling now, the plants are growing steady. I won't train or top until I sex these, hoping they'll all show by next week.
20230805_101337.jpg
All the plants from the other strains look good, but I'm hoping this Red Lebanese is a girl.
20230805_101124.jpg
It's the one with no mutations, and is growing a little slower and staying short.... I'm looking for more of an indica style hashplant in this strain.

Watering today with some PureCrop1 nanosurfactant and a splash of microelements 1-0-0.
My favorite Red Pakistani I've mistakenly called Red Lebanese (Red Lebanese x Pakistani Heirloom) continues to impress with the root development and has already grown roots out of the bag, but drinks less than the other plants.
The Air Guitars are looking so nice. One seems a little sensitive to the light and had some yellow tips on the newest growth, also has the bushiest structure and super sharp serrations.
The Diesel Stompers are looking really good with a naturally less turgid posture compared to the other strains, with fat leaves but fairly open structure and lots of purple/red coloring on the petioles, except for one green pheno, which has the longest internodes of it's siblings.

Got sme preflower nubs beginning, but nothing definite yet.

Maui likes hanging with the plants but runs away when I start filling the Volcano or smoking a J. His sister Meeko loves the herb though, I'll introduce her later.

Maui is a good looking mfer gotta admit
