So I dont want to completely derail the DC Seed Exchange thread here but this is one of the assumptions about autos that I find problematic. Those early lowryder crosses stayed small for sure, but these days a lot of autos can get massive. I grew an Auto Kaya 47 from Advance Seeds that yielded a quarter pound and took over half my tent! Same with the stupud NL Auto I had from seedsman that annoyingly started flowering at like 80 days.

Autos these days require a lot of research to make sure your matching the strain to your environment and goal... far more than with photos imo. Because if my goal is tp squeeze in two outdoor harvests a year then yeah, a massive, quick flowering AK47 knock off is awesome! If your trying to do a one tent perpetual grow in a small space, not so much! Both are scenarios where autos are beneficial, but you need to choose the right autos! And if your not in a scenario like that, the added control photos give you will almost always make your life easier. I can control how long a photo veg's and intentionally keep it small, cant do that with an auto.
Yes yes and yes. My Magnum gets to 4' but again that's a reg x auto cross. The autos from Frim were more manageable and shorter, about 3' max but YES, just because it's an "auto" doesn't mean 2' tall and if space is an issue proper due diligence is needed on the growers part?

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but a long-time veteran buddy of mine, @phoenix.farms.genetics, is looking to release some new F1 crosses later this year and is looking for some folks to grow out some testers. Phoenix Farms was the grower working with High Alpine Genetics on the super popular high-CBD feminized auto-flowering strain, Alpen Gleaux. He's now branching out into genetics bred by veterans for veterans and hopes to resurrect some classics later this year. He's trying to do things right and has got the blessing to work the genetics below. His current project is built off of a killer Strayfox's Snowy Lemons male. For this run he focused on super terpy, high-yielding, feminized strains that he found useful to treat his physical pain (as well as making super tasty concentrates):

Snow lemons x iced grapefruit
Snowy lemons x prayer pupil
Snowy lemons x afghan peach
Snowy lemons x watermelon skittlez
Snowy lemons x iron throne

If you are interested in helping a veteran by testing and providing HONEST feedback on this forum (he'll be creating a dedicated thread), hit either of us up and we'll get some beans out to you. ??

You folks at DCSE continue to do good works for the vet community. Thank You for your efforts!

If I weren't on hiatus, I'd love to try and help with testing. Best of luck with the project!

I am growing this year authentic genetics and a Dynasty cross I did (alpen glow x blue dream x haze)-

My sons love my stuff (free weed is nice) but I never get the oh shit response that I want. So looking for something that will do that. What would you recommend from the exchange - preferences to people on phenohunter that sell their seeds and that you have actually grown out. I really want to knock their socks off. Outdoor grow in 40 gallon sips all organic.
