Every bud on this lady is EXTREMELY dense and the trichome coverage looks like every crown has been sprinkled with powdered sugar. Still not even 1% amber on the buds. I’m thinking she may go 65-70 days but I’m checking every three days regardless.

Starting to see the pistils pull back into the calyx and the calyx’s swell. Way back when, we used this and the amount of pistils turning red as our marker it was time to harvest in about a week (which is actually right according to amber trichome development, or lack there of). Also trichome production is nuts. She’s FROSTY!!!!

I cupped a top/crown with my hand as these are 2.5 - 3.5 inches thick, Dense/tight, and covered with a thick layer of trich’s. So no, I don’t have knobby little fingers....lol. Just wanted to give some perspective as to the size of these. I have 25+ of them and twice as many secondary sites as well. I’m happy with the outcome and expect a pretty good yield.

Unfortunately whether fully ready or not she’s coming down on the 25th. Her nutrients are almost used up as Im seeing some yellowing. I’ll start hitting her every day with a gallon of water, which she’s taking that now with no complaints every other day with under 10% run off. But doing that everyday will flush everything over the next 5-6 days. I don’t wet trim. Not trimming the leaves will help ensure a slower drying time. I like to get 10-12 days at less than 68 degrees and a RH from 50-60%. I usually check them on day 6-7 and gauge from there. I don’t want to over dry, you know? By cutting her on the 25th I can get in a 10 day drying time and the first week of cure. I’m thinking 2 half gallon mason jars. I’ll just take it with us and continue the cure while in Orlando. I’m projecting a 3-4 ounce yield.

She’ll be coming down Sunday evening after 24 hours of darkness. Back when I first started growing we used just basic appearance (pistils, calyxes, etc). Well this girl is telling me she’s ready. Also actually checking the trich’s, they are all mostly cloudy with maybe 2-3% amber. She’ll be prime in about 3 days which will actually be day 63.

An Everything Bagel w/ a “schmeer” of cream cheese, capers, onion, tomatoes, and smoked salmon (lox). Also there’s pickled herring in sour cream with onions and a honey crisp apple. Top it off with coffee in my “Bob Ross Deadpool” coffee mug and it’s a typical morning here.

She comes down in 2 days but she’s ready. She’s starting to reek as well, opening the tent is like sitting in a new car and all of a sudden that clean laundry sweet chemical smell just hits you.

Tonight at 7pm she goes into 24 hours of darkness and then it’s time to play taps for the ole girl.

Welp, she comes down at 7pm this evening after I’ve stressed her slightly by lowering the RH down to below 35%, hasn’t been watered in three days, and 24 hours of darkness. This will trigger the plant to up trichome production in a last ditch effort to stay alive/reproduce.
She was the only female in a 4 plant grow. So I banzai’d her (She only stands 28-32 inches tall) with over 25+ crowns/tops and every bud site full access to light. The left side of the plant was laid out so even secondary bud sites got the attention from the lights as a top/crown (see image 2). While the right is more traditional larger colas.
I like to call this the “The Burning Bush” technique and as you can see it was fully planned. Yield was king here.

My brother from another Jewish mother..... I’d kill for a nice corned beef with chopped liver and coleslaw. The brisket still warm....ahhhhhh, I hadn’t thought of that in YEARS. Now it’s going to drive me nuts until I find it. No one makes good chopped liver in VIRGINIA!!!!??????

Yeah we had a “New York Deli” here that served Salami and Eggs and made the best Sailor sandwich. It was bought by a hipster couple and now SUCKS... same name, NOT the same food. I feel your pain brother.

That's such a bummer. It's strange, I know so many people who talk about missing a good pastrami or corned beef sandwiche, but those old Jewish Delis just can't stay in business. Makes me want to open one someday lol. Maybe next to a dispensary?
