Feeling Dangerous

A while back, I put 8 seedlings in a DIY earthbox.
They were flipped immediately because I didn’t want them to get big.
Ended up with 5 females so I added one more.


I’m so happy with the results so far, Im thinking about doing it again — with bucket-size plants!


2 per tote?
4 would be pushing it.

Sub-irrigated planters are great!
They use less water and the nutrients are already in there.
Top is covered so the system uses less water.
Haven’t seen any fungus gnats. Had thrips at first but they’re gone now.
Adding nutes to the res isn’t a problem - but nothing organic like fish.

I been debating on getting a couple of these sip’s going. How do you get the old roots out of the bottom so they don’t just rot in the res? Is that even an issue? Maybe I’m over thinking it lol.

Obviously aside from just emptying out the entire medium every time. I’m thinking on a multiple use perspective
