I'm a big fan of Ladybugs myself; We order them online and got 3,000 for about 10 dollars, which, as long as you keep them in the fridge, you can hold off on putting them out until conditions are better (Sun setting, as you want to put them out once it's not so bright, or at least cloudy) so we normally put them in the fridge, and once it's either cloudy or the Sun is off the Garden, we put them out on each plant, and as long as they find Aphids and mites to eat, and have access to water they will breed. I had REALLY good results this year; Only had to spray Green Clean ONE time all season, and that was for PM and not mites or aphids, so I was beyond happy with that result.

I see them breeding all season, and I didn't have a problem with mites, and even the aphids couldn't keep up so it was a great solution in my opinion. Now I should point out that a tent would be a little different; Since mine is outdoor, I don't HAVE to remove a bunch of shade leaves, as actual Sunlight penetrates a lot better, and Honestly I leave shade leaves alone and only remove branches from the lower third of my plants, and so far it seems like when I do this, the shade leaves near those branches after a week or two will turn yellow on their own, and then I remove them. With these extra leaves though I've got a "buffer" so to speak, of damage absorption where it's OK if some beetles munch on some leaves here and there, and it doesn't cause a bunch of problems for me.

I try to allow my plants to have an ecosystem, which does at times involve having beetles that will eat some parts of leaves, but normally by the time the flower cycle begins, they're gone, and they only really go for shade leaves and they don't actually kill them. Now, I'll kill beetles I see on my plants doing actual damage, but I don't kill every bug I see because you may end up killing a helpful one if you don't ID them first (Learning to ID bugs, though not super interesting, is a good way to know what to do) so if I see a beetle eating my plants, I'll kill them, with my fingers, but the rest, I don't bother. There's enough leaves and my plants are big enough that I haven't ever lost a plant to a bug. The main issues in my area, are if you don't watch for mites and aphids as those will do real damage, and even damage buds into flower, thus my Ladybug love LOL.

I feel like I'm rambling so I'll stop there, but I guess TL;DR would be "Some bugs good, some bugs crushed, add Ladybugs and only spray when you have too" Haha.
I will never order lady bugs ever again...Here's the simple reason why..I had a mid lvl infestation of spider mites..I sprayed..Waited a two days and released THOUSANDS of lady bugs in a 4 x 4 ...They basically did nothing to stop the problem..I waited ...I figured since the population of lady bugs was so high that they would "catch up"..That NEVER happened and it wasn't untill I started alternating Grandevo and venerate along with regalia that the bastards ALL died...And was ALL dead in under two weeks...So glad I listened to BH on that..I'll never trust a bug again..That simple IPM is the only one I have seen to work so quickly and with ease..I know the struggle of indoor mites..Such a waste to watch your work being literally destroyed right in front of your eyes..Please don't trust bugs when they do not work ...Not even a little bit! and there is a cheap and quick solution that will 100% fix the problem

I wonder if the spraying of the mites did something there... This past season I tried going for no sprays for insects for my first time and honestly it worked pretty well; I only sprayed Green Clean once for PM, but no mites, and only a few aphids which, honestly never got that high up on my to do list because there weren't that many after a bit. But either way, listening to BH for IPM is a lot safer than listening to me haha. I mean I'm mainly outdoor so the difference just in environment will change how things work.

Ya I feel like the temp and humidity in my tent is just ideal for mites to thrive...My main point that I probably failed to make since it's text and I just spew letters is ide never WASTE money on lady bugs again when the Grandevo and venerate will work 100% ...and very quickly..where the bugs do not solve the problem quickly while your plants are literally dieing in front of your eyes..Only time and or reason ide ever use em again is because I like seeing them crawl around on my plants..And if the lazy bastards would actually stay on the plants and eat instead of piling up in the corner orgies they have ide consider it again

I haven't ever tried the Grandevo before. Actually outside of Green Clean I've not used anything else before, but I'm kind of picky about stuff like that. The Father in Law used Neem oil a lot, which.... I have to be honest; the smell of that stuff, and watching his plants get burnt up from not mixing it up, and seeing how the mites kept on kicking anyway, I was very much turned off to that stuff, but the Green Clean, though pricey, seems to work really well for my particular environment which is why I've stuck with it so long. Venerate I've not actually seen before but that seems like something to at least check out.

Start growing indoor I bet ya figure out real quick what venerate and Grandevo are...Well at least after all your work is destroyed...If not those two something that works just as well... Personally I haven't found that product yet..Brother it's not that I want to use it or spray anything on my plants at all far as that goes..It's a absolute must..without it ide be completely wasting my time..Those mites hurt me man and they don't and won't stop..I'm pretty sure I had 8 or 9 THOUSAND Lady bugs in a 4x4 area and they lived for months...even after I hit em with Grandevo and venerate... Honestly there is still a few in there alive I see time to time..Right when ya think the mites are completely gone ya open the tent to a bud completely webbed out.and 10 to 20 ladybugs right on the same plant. That's when I got fed up and was to the point of taking every plant I own and smashing them into trash bags...selling the lights and trashing the tents..I stewed on it a few days ignoring the problem completely...That was the time I finally listened to BH and ordered the Grandevo,regalia,venerate..Now I did trash a couple of plants that were very close to harvest...they were covered.and destroyed...I started spraying every three days on every plant I own. It was alot of work....Other products seemed to keep me in business but not wipe them out...These products did and quick..Now I'm only spraying once a week...surely not because I want to..it's either that or quit..It's also the only product I've ever used that the plants look better after use...That's a big one for me..Having confidence it's killing mites and making my plants healthier is absolutely priceless and ide pay triple the price for these 3 products and wouldn't bat a eye...honest truth ..Even when I say bugs are completely gone...Stop spraying for two weeks straight and guess who's back ! And back to every three days...I just don't miss now....Man im not ready to quit growing

The thing I think a lot of people don't understand is the larvae are the ones "we" really want. I don't know of anyone that sells larvae. If they don't sell larvae that means it's not profitable for them or farmed ladybugs to do so. Raising the ladybugs is difficult, if they will reproduce successfully in your environment that's a plus but for most of us that won't happen so that is why I don't ever use or recommend them. Rove beetles will survive/procreate in my environment, I keep them open as an option.

I understand where you're coming from; I looked into the Grandevo, though that needs to be less than 90% humidity for it to work kind of grabbed my attention as that isn't even possible for 7 weeks + here. I have plans for some indoor runs though so, I might as well start looking right ? But for the outdoor it's legit 100% humidity every day, and windy as Summer comes through, so I can't really use that one.

I'll be honest I have yet to see a tent that held Laybugs properly or kept them alive and all that. For here at least though in my grow, which is mainly outdoor, they work great, and so far we've only gotten them every other year; Once Winter comes they go to sleep, and in the Spring they wake up and breed and eat more and, honestly that's pretty sweet. But that's outdoor VS in a tent so, I don't have any non moot points as, like I said, I've not personally seen a tent hold them for more than a few weeks.

Also don't be giving up and selling your lights damn it; You're close enough to drive over and kick your ass LOL.

Lol. Man I almost did..My mom lives way closer to you than I do and she never sprays her outdoor plants... you couldn't ever convince her to do so..Man I can't argue with her one bit..She will say shut the fuck up I've been growing this shit since you was just a twinkle in your ignorant daddy's eye...She brings big weight just like G here... However I got alot of free equipment after she failed miserably after only one indoor grow....OMG was they bad...Mites was like the least of her problem even being completely covered in web as she just starved em to death..hahaha good God was it bad...Still got a big ass tent..8x8 I think..two 600 watt HPS I still don't use lol

See I'm totally OK with spraying them if I have too, I just normally won't unless it's a real issue. I know you've been around this way before so you probably know how humid it gets, which, for me that's a water source for Ladybugs and the food source would be all the darn mites outside lol.

Mold is the main culprit here on those 100% humidity no breeze nights we get. Since I dint remove shade leaves a few beetles munching on them doesn't concern me the way mites and aphids do.

Your gonna give me nightmares with that mite talk... Had em so bad I was vacuuming the fuckers off the plants...of course this was like over 20 years ago when ya had to drive over an hour to go to the only grow store around wormsway... Also had to wear glasses and a hoodie and get a ride from someone else lol...tried a few things finally threw in the towel and shut down for months during the summer... stopped taking in clones and haven't had a problem since other than gnats...
