I've been on and off again with grabbing an HLG light. I know they're the best but everytime I am ready to pull the trigger they are out of stock or have changed something to new and better. Usually it's a bit more pricey everytime I look. Lately, over the past year or so the strength of there lights have pushed up to a point that a 5x5 area is common ground now.

My latest build out was originally designed for 4x4 tent setup since they were more of a standard size the last few years. My hurdle with HLG is I'm not sure which new model is right for a 4x4 tent? I'd rather not buy something and have to run it dimmed.

I do see the have some mar specifically covering 2x4. Which works if you buy two but I can't help wonder if that's creative marketing or a hardware issue.

i've used two 300's in a 4.5x4.5 with no issues in the past, and if you could find a good 550 i imagine that would work well in a 4x4. my v.1 300 actually went down in power in the later models i believe, think it was a wittle too strong at 285

Which HLG light assembly would yall suggest for a 3x3?

Currently have 2x HLG 100Rspec and 2x 65w Autocobs. I'd like more penetration without the introduction of much more heat.

In my 4x4 I have an HLG 600Rspec, this runs warmer than I'd like, I'd like to move the driver to a wall panel outside this tent. Possibly look into the newer Tomahawk light bar array, and move the 600R to 3x3.

Thoughts? I'm no where near educated on lighting to be honest, just know I don't want a product of China.

I started with two 200s turned all the way down. Now I'm just running my 3x3 with a single 200. If they made a 250 It would be perfect

Longer cord, preassmebled, better heat sink like the 200’s have ( both love) and it’s a 260 water, close enough and great deal! If it was me I so would get that or that 320 max and dim it if unneeded ppfd For 3x3.
