Hunting for Old School

Myself I just use it from the tap here. I'd like to do RO, but the water wastage with it is what stops me. Don't wanna be a waster. Lol
My water quality here is pretty hard, but good and mineral rich. The pH sure can go up and down alot though, took me a good while to adapt to that. ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️
Typically 9.1 outta the tap, and high 8's after it's sat a day or so. Particularly high in calcium carbonate, around 175 ish ppm after it's sat to let the chlorine off gas.
I've found over my time growing with this water, giving it to em straight with my ROLS, that the soil will accept it and stay in its happy spot as far as the soils pH. Soils ph has been set by its makeup, and what's all in it. I did have to adapt my soil mixes to have it work that way though.
In the beginning yrs the cal carb buildup from the water would slowly creep up the soils pH.
To fix this I began adding more sulfur based amendments, and some sulfur itself in the reammending.
It was all a learning curve, still learning new stuff every day. Lol
I'm with ya 100% on the wasted water from RO units. I gotta get another Boogie Brew filter pretty quick!

Not taking pics of every package but just throwin' up a lil "proof".

Under the two Gavitas I figure to have nine fem Slymers under one of them. The other Gavita will have nine also but the rest of my beans are reg's so I think I'll sprout 25 more beans in hopes of getting 8-10 females.

As tempting as it is to sprout a bunch of stuff I've been itching to grow, I'm gonna hold back on my Fleur de Mal gear until I'm more comfy with the new setup. I have "40" Mikado bx regs and the description is intriguing so I'm asking y'all's opinion... Stick with just the Slymer and Mikado or add more variety?

Man I love some Cindy 99. Add in some Durban? Yes please. That Grimm pack should be interesting…

And the Fleur? Sweet. Love the old school stuff.

Yessirrrr it's the Cindy that got this whole operation started (and the reason I'ma wait to drop the FDM gear). I'm a sativa lover and was in the military the whole time C99 was popular, so I missed out. I'd heard the stories and said "one day...". Well Brothers Grimm gear was hard to come by when I started playing with seeds so I landed on TGA, hence my experience with Chernobyl.

There was a big effort by Lost Tribe over at riu methinks to find his old pineapple cindy keeper he had way back when. He found that Fleur (and one other breeder) had the purest expression of his fabled cut. When I researched Fleur it was easy to choose his gear. Like you said... "solid old school" and he just put up some authentic Indiana Bubblegum recently that I'll pickup soon.

There they are folks! These are about to get the dunk:

10 Slymer S1's - "Hunt Over"...nuff said

10 Mikado Bx - I got 40 so might as well run a pack. These are from unknown Alternative Seeds. I think I'll order some of Hazeman's Mikado to compare. The genetic has mystique and I'm curious. These are reg's.

5 AK47 f2 - from Joey Weed who's back at Hemp Depot after a few years hiatus. Good reviews and I used to dig the AK. Regs

3 Back to the Congo - from Richard William's Seed Company by way of Hemp Depot. Richard passed away about a year or so ago and his son is on one of the forum sites. This supposed to be some "musician weed", a sativa for the creative types. I gave a buddy seven of these to run outdoor but he didn't get any to pop. Regs

5 Either more "Congo" or it could be Deep Chunk (or Deep Congo). The baggy said "DC" and Brad over at HD seemed unsure between the two. Let's find out! Regs
