Just a Couple Tent Shots

Thanks for taking the time to share that, Jewels. Much appreciated!(y)

No action yet, but it's been less than 24 hours since they hit the paper towel. These are large seeds with nice markings. It wouldn't be a big surprise if they need some help cracking so the pliers are standing by.

I was happy you had recommended these, as I was looking at my Vault's contents and had no idea what to try next.

I've only been running one flower tent and with BBM and Cindy generally taking some of the room there aren't many opportunities to introduce new stuff. I've been thinking about a little SOG tent, but small containers are just so much more work. I may just bite the bullet on the extra electrical expense and set up another full size flower tent. I've got close to 70 different lines in the Vault and most are untried. I really want to get to them more quickly than my current progress will allow.

Word.
I had my room full of pails- and I always managed to miss one.
Putting them all in a common sipping tray helped.
Eventually I tried a @Skunky Dunk Farms mass grave - I love it.
Now I can evenly water my plants; as fast as I can dump a mop pail

70 different lines in the Vault

I love variety.
Try 25 per sq M.
They wont yield full ounces at that density, but at least you get to taste the rainbow.

I also like/require variety, but I find growing a bunch of wee plants to be frustrating. It'd be like going to a wine tasting but told there's nothing available for purchase. Finding something I love, only to realize there's no more and never will be, can make for sleepless nights.

I'm always looking for keepers. Flowering a plant without taking cuts, just in case, is painful for me. ?

One of the Charastar had a 3/4" tail this morning. It is now in coco. I grabbed the needle-nose pliers and helped the other two along and anticipate two more tails this afternoon. (y)

------------------------

I saw the other thread and thought I'd share a few of my thoughts on cloning. Didn't want to hijack so I'll do it here.

I tried a bunch of methods with varying success before finding what works for me, in my environment:

I use clear plastic disposable cups and make a mini-hempy. An inch or so of perlite with coco/perlite above it to fill the cup, with a drain hole just below the top of the perlite layer. Soak it with nute solution, and the container is ready.

I use whatever snips or scissors are handy and wipe them down. Sometimes I use ISO but not always. I take large cuts and peel off any lower branches to have a bare section to insert in the cup. When I peel the branches I try to also peel off some of the outer stem layer, I'm not gentle.

Once the cut is in the cup, I stick it in a shady corner of a veg tent. It gets topped up every couple days and after 12 or 14 days there are roots showing in the cup. I give it a few more days before transplanting.

For me the keys are the exposed stem to allow roots to form more easily, keeping light levels very low(vital) and NOT snipping any leaf tips or creating any above-medium entry points for any nasty stuff. Warm temps speed things up and cooler slows it down, but I don't often lose a cut.

I did use a hydro cloner for a while. Like with many people, it worked awesome for a run or two before I ran into issues. I just couldn't get it clean enough between runs. For whatever reason, that isn't an issue with my current method.

Thanks for this @Amarok
I bookmarked it.
Took some clones this week using the bleach tek, but DID remove and trim leaves above medium. Will take some more soon, and keep things intact above the line.
I clip stems above medium, if needed, but never clip leaves. That seems to be the main entry point in my experience. Leaf stems, even small branches seem to easily heal up, but those fragile leaves seems much more susceptible.

Package , out of the mailbox, smells like xmas. Piney, potpuri.

Dude, thank you.
I have not passed a joint for 2 years now.
The wife got one wiff of that Bloody sour Tangie and she says,
" give me a puff "

Next night she is heading for work and she says,
" roll me one of those tangies for when I get home"?

This morning I am having coffee and she says,
" do you have any of that sourtangie left?"

Yeah baby, its all for you.

Super happy they worked out for you.

I have crossed versions of sour Tangie to itself over a dozen times.
Mostly from @THT
Tangie
Blood Tangie
Sour Tangie

I found my male with a [(THT blood orange Orange X sour tangie.) ] x Crockett Sour Tangie female Reg
I was calling it Croc Blood.

Endlessly chasing a flavour.

Shit is hands down most delicious bud , ever.
The legendary chicken diner.
I know you don't find yourself at the store very often but if you ever get a chance to try that stuff out I highly recommend it.

My own version is-
F Cannaventure LA Affie x
CrocBlood.

Took me like 15 tries but the bloody sour Taffy is the closest I have come.

In other news I spent the weekend with Cindy,,, I'll tell you more about that later.

That's awesome! Tell Momma I'm very happy she enjoyed it. : ) (y)

Thank YOU for the chance to grow them. Crazy that I went 5/5 on females. After puffing away for months I'm down to maybe an eighth left, and as always, starting to feel those empty jar blues. ?

I am looking forward to hearing what you thought. She's one of my favorites but I know weed is very subjective. I almost bagged up a couple cuts and put them in the package but thought that would be presumptuous.

Cool to see the sticker too. IIRC, you are the 3rd or 4th person to get one.

All right ya tease, it's later. :fastparrot:

The BBHP has pretty great structure. Super tight nodes and it maintains an even canopy without much help. Depending on stretch, this could produce some crazy tops. It gets flipped in about a week and a half. Gotta grab a cut in case I want to run her again.

The Charastar that popped on it's own is thriving. The other two are coming along. They had thick shells and needed extra help even after the initial cracking.

Also finally got back to my C99 x BB F1s that I would eventually like to work into an IBL. They are still on the paper towel. I'd really love to find a keeper mom here(dad would be cool, but a mom is priority 1). Probably should have laid down more seeds but I'm watching numbers.

Tell ya what ,,,
She is smoother than Ron Burgundy.
She burns evenly and silent.
Dont ask a prairie kid about conifers,,, but I keep catching a whiff of Xmas; Spruce,,,perhaps Cedar.

Anywho, she smokes like carbon monoxide. Fresh as the breeze , although certainly deadly. You are going down- before you know what you got yourself into.

No spice. Not hot.
Too easy to smoke.
I find it relaxing , but not fatiguing.
I dig.

I popped two of @HydroRed 's BBHP from the contest. One was flipped fairly small and is currently on 44f. The tops look nearly done but below is still developing. The second was vegged longer and was flipped not quite a week ago. I like the structure, but the vigour is lacking. They were small relative to plants vegged a similar time.

Here's a tester I snipped today. She's looking nice. Should be able to vape it tomorrow for a first impression.

This plant has small, hard buds spaced out on the branches, while the other has incredibly dense structure. If I can get and keep it properly defoliated it should give a good sized harvest.

It is resting on a rolling tray which was also from the Anniversary Contest. I'm still blown away by that prize package and the generosity of the prize donators. Thanks again, @Frimpong et al

I also laid down three 1985 Skunk #1 IBL beans today. If I get a male I'll do a seed run as there are supposed to be some really cool phenos in these genes.

Vaped some of the BBHP this morning. I was a little bit wary, as the growing plant has a bit of a myrcene aroma to it and I have a love/hate relationship with that terp; sometimes my mind just keeps telling me there is something off, like it's moldy or something. With other plants it can smell really nice.

Anyway, the very fresh and uncured bud has a really sweet berry taste. I should have wake n baked it so I could give a rundown on the effect, but I'd already shared a cup of tea with Cindy so that will have to wait for another time.

I also opened up the other BBHP in the main tent and did some more defoliation. She's starting to stretch out.

All three Skunks had tails in under 24 hours and are now in coco.

Going to be flipping a Charastar in a few days. Hoping for a girl and a new experience. The other two CS are being flowered in 1 gal containers in the small tent.

Two of my Polar Berries are coming along nicely. One is very indica looking, leaning toward the BB dad. The other favours the mom. I'd really love to find a keeper in these F1s. Then I'll have to phenohunt a dad at some point so I can take the cross to F2.

This shit is fun. :carlton:

Same here.
My wife finds MKUltra to give very effective relief from sharp fibro pain. She bought piles of it from her LP.
Worked for her but jeepers! There are other people in the room, here. Some days frog water, some days the bread has gone bad.
@Bodean 's F2 were a godsend. The jar smelled like fresh red Licorice and the exhale was lemongrass.
