Lunar Cycle

My brothers telling me he’s starting his next indoor grow around the next moon cycle . I’m thinking hmmm but it’s indoor ?? So yeah ??‍♂️.
I can understand perhaps outdoor and moonlight possibly having an affect . Personally I’ve always grown outdoors based around hours of available light and end of frost more or less .
Google says what it always says …….everything but nothing conclusive ?
I dunno ? To moon or not to moon ?

Only if the moon is waxing off ?

I can't see the point of it if he's growing indoors under lights for the entire life cycle. Outdoors I understand the rationale . I'm very similar to you ramjet, Daylight hours, air temp frost etc and soil temp. If I can get a sneaky month seeds in earlier that don't reveg, daylight is kosher and temps are kosher I'm winning the lottery. Hopefully no more frosts next month. I'm hoping to drop in some more seedlings later that month. Melb I could get away with but bush getsuch colder frost prone than metro melb

There are 3 lunar cycles all interact with each other and us and everything on this planet. There is a tendancy to focus on the most visible, lunation, when perigee/apogee and ascension/desension should not be ignored.

I’m totally open minded on matters of gardening and such although some seem a lot more realistic or credible than others . The 48 hrs of darkness prior to harvest has never made sense to me but hey everyone is free to follow whatever . I was watching a clip from a horticulturalist stating plants simply cannot do anything growth related in darkness , even secrete . Photosynthesis is only obviously in play with light applied . That to me makes sense but once again there is no study saying it doesn’t work , at least nothing I’m not aware of ??‍♂️

I have absolutely nothing to add except that this thread reminds me how much I want to try @Dino Party 's Moonijuana. :D

Does the moon Wax off to Venus ?

I use the moon as a seed soak date because i have no self control otherwise..I almost stick to it religously.

And ideally...Soak..full moon...NEXT full moon they move from the 1/2 gallon pot they go in....to about a 3G....and then next full moon in BLOOM OR
1/2 gallon to whatever sized pot and they wait 1 or 2 more moons.

It makes the math so much easier than when i put in plants without a plan.. Helps with timing the dryer..works great. And about a 3 moon flower cycle start to dry.

Now that to me makes sense . I get lost on time schedule accuracy as well . I usually end up looking back at pic dates on my phone to get an idea

Interesting! I see days of research in my near future
