Thanks! I spent about 3-4 years ( maybe a little more, not good with time because I am old HA) working the ancient OG before I selected my favorite ( male and female) in the F3 generation. That's the one I used to hit useful's BOO cut.....my plan is to cross the ancient orange back to the BOO x 2 and get a nice orange OG line. 🤞
That sounds like a good plan. Great stuff.

@Psychobilly you nailed it...found this one BLSR with heavy lime...really liking how it's growing and smelling so far....if it cures well I will be crossing it with my ancient orange ....I expect that combo to be tasty! And frosty 😉🙏...

Are you getting a nose tingle of black pepper on there too ? I only have a few seeds of that total, so I popped one just to see that year, and I was pretty happy with it. I still have about a quarter pound left of it. I probably harvested about a half pound total from her, which was impressive given how small she was.

The smell of straight Lime and Black Pepper were pretty nice though, and that was before a cure even happened. Once she was chopped, I filled up some jars and a QP Grove Bag with her, and let her go for a bit. At one point in the cure, I legit got that smell of spent Fireworks and Lime, which was a new one for me LOL. If you've ever lit off Fireworks and smelled the smoke coming off them when they finish, that was totally in there. The smoke itself, is just as tasty as you'd expect too. Hope she finishes well for you bro :)

Spent fireworks. 🤔 Sounds interesting...
It is honestly; It's not something you expect to smell from a live plant hahaha.
I haven't picked up any pepper atm, tonight they will all be getting a haircut...
Depending on the size of her right now, it may not be quite there yet. The lime part was the main event in terms of aroma, with a slight hint of peppery spicy in there too, but that may not be there yet.
I'll give a good rub and a tug

BDxCC #1. I have never grown a plant with this aroma. If it holds and cures well this will be in my garden for a long time. I scratch my head Everytime I smell it. It smells like dill pickles. Like I just opened a jar of pickles and stuck my nose in the bottle...( Which I always do because I love pickles lol) So strange....if this holds true I will definitely be making some orange pickles....32 days Flower. Side note; the moderators here are ( in my opinion) the BEST around! Thanks for keeping this place tight and clean - no spiders mites in this place 😉...

I once had a mandalas 8 mile high pheno that was a dead ringer for straight pickles..I loved it..Lost that years ago..I really need to go back and hunt thru the remaining beans...So much good in the old mandala stock

That is interesting. I haven't thought about Mandala in a while. I still have satori and I think the 8 miles high seeds among a few others I can't remember atm... 🤔 I may to revisit these at some point. From what I remember from years ago they do make good breeding stock.
Both very good strains..8 mile was a staple for me for years...alot of years

When I grow something I haven't grown before I like to kind a push them a bit and see how they respond. So I pushed these a bit...I like to find the limit then dial it back. these are the ones that are checking some boxes ( didn't take a pic of the #1 pickle but it will be around unless it doesn't cure well) ..
