I was always intimidated by diy & after asking a few questions on another forum came away with more questions than answers but after this I've got a little better understanding & have a different out look aluminum street signs are now potential heatsinks for quantum boards lol also found it's cheaper to double up on smaller drivers than to buy some of the larger single drivers 3 of the 200h ab drivers will get you to 600w. for about $120 where a 600w. single driver will cost more one more bolt & I have heatsinks material lolFound these cobs for $9.00 apiece but drivers start at $75.00 and up.
Ill keep lookin.
Some of the blurple cobs is possible to use the chinese drivers as well if it either says the voltage or if you can put a volt meter on it if they're 36 v. you can go to cob kits & get citizen cobs & thermal pads , drill new holes in the heatsinks & you're rockin the guy that inspired me did his that way on mine I'm using a 54v. driver on 50v. Cobs I would like to see that kind of build happen I have a updated version of this light in the led light forum here@horribleherk You have inspired me. I have got a single board burple ready for a single cob. And took apart a burple 4 cob light and found 4 heat sinks and 4 fans.
Will start a new thread if I get it to work. Wonderful looking plants
