Planning a new setup after a long pause.

Hiya all, hope you all are fine and safe.

So, planning a new rig, sharing my thoughts and any and all feedback welcome.

So, current situation needs stealth as I live under babylonian laws and nosy (pun intended) neighbours. I rent, so diy room is out of the question. Also, need to start small so I figured a 2x2x4 or 2x2x6 tent should be fine for the space I was thinking. Later perhaps an added larger stealth cabin, converted from a cabin or readymade if I find a good deal..

So, a tent 2x2x4, maybe AC Infinity as I like how they look, and the materials they use...

or Homebox Ambient 60+, I like the white color and it blends well in the room. Latter also has added height, (2x2x5,25)which might (yeah) come in handy.. Image from larger model I think..

Gorilla tents look decent too, saw them in a shop the other day.

4" inline fan with a good filter, was thinking maybe AC Infinity, pictured above in the first tent pic.. Should be ok for that size, (240cfm) I think. Read good things about Terrabloom fan too, should be quiet also ..

Atm I have a spare 250 cfl dual bulb, and thinking of hanging it vertical but planning to get a qb or cob led. Was thinking of CMH (LEC?), (vertical too) but not sure. Not sure if my CFL is strong enough for flowering..? Maybe I can save money if it is ok, and I dont have to invest on extra lights.

Either a SOG from clones 4-5 plants in #3 square pots, either promix hp type of soil, or coco hempy, not decided yet. Vertical bulb in the middle... no training, just donkey dicks.. Could add more plants if space allows.. Depends on strain too.. I know how most girls just love to flex and stretch.. Could be autos too, not sure..

Or large diy dwc bubbler, one (max 2) plant, heavy lst and SCROG, undecided on that option. Could do from seed.. Have good results previously though with diy bubblers. Quantum board led/COB etc sounds like the thing for this..

I do like the idea of the semi aeroponic/semi DWC GHE Rainforest 66, but it is slightly too large for my planned tent.. and costs too..

Ah, yes the seeds. I have some autos GG I think and some old bubblegum, some silver lemon haze femmed I think...

What I would love to grow is some old school smelly skunk (RKS?), but it seems to be impossible to find.. Diesel fuel burnt rubber kush indicas I guess, or exodus cheese, but I guess that was clone only.. and some sativa, cat piss haze. Perhaps not initially (for smell control), plan was to be very discreet..

For sweeter I think a real solid strong pineapple (C99?) or lemon (lemon tree?) sativa would be nice. Havent really tried any of the latest inventions yet, so I have missed on all the melon, skittles, strawberry, cherry, cake and other hybrids. And I´ve missed the purple ones completely.. some have amazing bag appeal..

Would not want to, and cant either, spend fortunes on seeds atm, so I think I start with whatever is at hand. If they still sprout. Perhaps one solid really smelly indica and one solid good smelling sativa, dont need to be the strongest, but those usually are..

Any feedback or criticism is highly welcome. It´s been a long time since last grow..

I think that CloudLab series tent will do you justice. I dont have experience with them personally, but I have watched a few youtube reviews, and they seem pretty well made. I mostly just like the idea of mounting the controller on the tent. Beyond that, I dont think there is much differences among tent brands.


As far as seeds go, the closest thing I have found to true haze are the ON (Orignal Nevilles) Haze crosses from Authentic Genetics. There are plenty of breeders here on forum with lots of varieties to choose from. Im confident if you look around a bit here, you should be able to find exactly what your are looking for...

I want one of those AC Infinity tents real bad... Their fans and filters are the best. I highly recommend getting the fan with the humidity and temp control unit, the extra $30 or whatever is well worth it. Their tents having a mounting spot for the control unit is super slick too....

As for seeds and strains... I'm assuming your looking to grow mostly fems because of your space? I have some beans I'd be down to send your way if you don't have the budget for new ones after your tent and light purchases. I know that feeling real well, and there's nothing worse than struggling with old seeds or bad genetics when your trying to get into a groove.... just DM me and I'll let you know what I've got extras of a little later on

If you were looking at rainforest you might want to consider a water farm also by gh I used to run them but found e&f more trouble free it looks like you're off to a good start

(pulse environment monitor )to know what exactly your temps, humidity , vpd, pressure , light density , when your lights turn on or leaks

you can customize the ranges and when the cycles are suppose to be and even has it show your hourly.daily ,weekly,monthly average for everything listed above

it can alert you via email, phone text or app alert ( or all) so if anything is out of your desired ranges , you’ll at least know and can make ur judgment vs seeing the damage or not knowing such and have to check your room more than needed .

no matter what size , this can make you or break you and there’s no monthly subscription . Love mine and I would of paid 10+ more for it and it’s saved me more than such. Just don’t tell pulse that

so many times before pulse I would even after I was In my room at least once that day, every once and awhile something from the a/c failing or a light ruined on when it’s not suppose to ( so many things it def can save ya or make you more precious on your desired ranges through the whole grow cycle ) it’s those little things that mess up environment make or end your yields dramatically.


I only have the orginal pulse, planning on trying the pro version so I can have a Co2 monitor wirelessly and also check my par rating per canopy and record such.

@Burned Haze Great info, never heard of that product before, will deffo look into it.

Now, the situation is a bit stalling with my grow setup mostly due to economical reasons, (tx Covid..!), have gotten bits and bobs that are useful, but have not ordered a tent yet, nor the filters and feel seriously bummed for not having the guts to start even a small thing atm, mostly due to fear of smells leaking and the possible negative repercussions from that.. But I am using my time to learn more, get a real crystallized idea of the style and scale of the grow, what strains I need (or want), and the possibiities of outdoors grow this season... I´ll start a journal when all is set up properly. Thanks for your kind attention..
