Poppin’ Beans
I’ve been meaning to start a thread for a while, just didn’t have the right stone to stand on.
Today that changed.
Patiently I’ve been waiting for for this ”Rock-Star” clone to come of age..
She is the one I chose to breed with a “Sweet Tooth” male I have, and today was her day!
Rock-Tooth’s journey is about to start!??
So the male is still alive, but is very much done with trying to produce any more flowers and hanging on by a thread. I’m trying to see if I can reveg him, he’s on 24 hours light now, and slowly boosting up the veg nutes again, but It isn’t the end of the word if he doesn’t survive, I still have a few beans of Sweet Tooth left. (It would just be nice to have HIM for later use too.)
All that aside, I also dusted a couple clones of Orange Kush (one last week and the other the week before), and already I can see some calixes swell.. I wasn’t expecting it to go so fast ( this orange kush pregnancy is kind of awe inspiring actually)
It’s been a couple years since my last chuck,( Grease Monkey x Grease Monkey) and I still have a bunch of them beans, but still, the Orange Kush has some really good vigor, and is a trouper in the flower tent.
The house the wife and I live in is 80 + years young, and her foundation, well, has definitely seen better days to put it nicely.
As it’s a rental, we really don’t want to sink a ton into someone else’s pocket by doing all the things that need done on our dime ( been there done that) so it is what it is..
That said, I have two 5x5 tents in the basement where I do my grows.. I usually keep one for veg, but it’s been known to serve double duty when the need arises.
The flower tent: AC Infinity Cloudlab 866, 6” in-line fan and can, also AC Infinity w/ smart controller (first gen) 600 w HPS and two hippy hangers (200w cfl 2700k) as side lights, but I temporarily borrowed one for upstairs where the male is doing his thing.
The other tent is a Mammoth classic 150, that has four 4’ T5 HO bars with L.E.D (veg)conversion bulbs that I put on a diy frame, spaced 10” apart. Nothing fancy, but it works for me.(sometimes too well as my timing often goes to shit and I get stuck with monsters going to the bloom tent!)
Getting back to the Rock-Star, I’m really excited to see if the dusting takes as she is currently the star of the show here, but I often find her too potent.
( ya… I said it and you read that right!)
See, she has no ceiling… you smoke a joint, your buzzed beyond and I only smoke a half joint, two joints.. I can’t keep up, three joints, your going to look for a pillow ( that’s me at anything past a half a joint, and I’ve been smoking daily for over 30+ years)
The other thing about Rock-Star, is that after 3 years of growing and smoking it, there is absolutely no immunity to it.. no lack lustre, she works As strong as she smells, and she smells yummy!
A funny thing about her though, she doesn’t frost up very much at all… in fact, it’s a treasure to get a chunk of hash made from her, and I covet that shit like Golem does “TheRing”! ( my precious!)
But weird as may be, the “trim bin” after wet or dry trimming and my grinder’s Keif collector are empty.?
Other then that, pics to come!, ( don’t expect anything of grandeur yet though lol)
