So I ain't gonna lie guys, while I'm sure there are kids that fit the stereotypes your presenting I feel like your slightly romantizing our childhoods and simultaneously not giving kids these days enough credit. Are there some that spend too much time hunting for social media likes and such? Sure. But I'll tell you what, that's not how my teenager rolls. She couldn't care less. Before this pandemic her and her crew had their hangouts just like I did... they'd all walk to the local Mac Ds and hang out til the staff finally got sick of them. And they sure as hell have their own slang we don't understand and shes never even been to a subreddit (most I dont understand anyways.... I actually just really enjoy playing the ignorant old man roll too and embarrassing my daughter by misusing popular slang words around her friends). And forums.... those are for the Olds lol.
When we were all kids there were always popular kids vying for prom king and jocks and squares and whatever. Things aren't as different as we'd like to think they are. Technology may have changed the delivery but kids didn't suddenly turn into a bunch of lazy lame asses. That's just what every aging generation thinks of the one coming after then.
My only real criticism of these younger generations is their obsession with Starbucks.... like seriously, what the fuck? We live in a time where amazing, locally roasted coffee is more accessible than ever before and your gonna go spend $7 on that shit? And you can't even just call it a medium?? I'd rather have a Dunks...
Anyways, Im just trying to take a step back these days and not judge the kids so harshly. That's enough outta me. I could go on at length about the code me and my crew spoke in as well, but let's get back to the funny stuff!
