You know what’s worse??? I had about 3 seconds of “hunh?!?!?” before second 4 hit at the same time it hit me and I was like “Oh Shit!!!” and then my wife said to me “What???”.....

Friend of mine had this small boat built a couple of years ago. He hired a captain to run the small boat for him and believe it or not this photo was the maiden voyage. Luckily no one was injured. I can not phatum how this happened (no excuse). View attachment 1578 After the vessel was repaired it was sold. She only had one trip and done. Amazingly enough the owner was not sued. It did affect him in a negative way and he wound up getting out of the business all together.

I actually saw this about 15 minutes after it happened still like this...I heard about it on the comm and fired both MTUs and hauled ass over there to see her mounted on the blowboy.

I was running a 56' Ricky Scarborough out of a busy Southern MD Creek...I hit the main channel..."Commercial fishing vessel underway"...flag up...so I came upon the blowboy and I gave him one long blast on the horn followed by a short one...he turned and looked at me....I buried the throttles to come around on his Starboard- my port and as I did he cut to his starboard sharply and I ran him over...blowboy sank...did close to 1,000,000.00 in damages to the 56RS...that was 5 years ago...all cleared, it was his fault...fun fun...owner was not too happy...blowboys and power boats do not mix!

Ask me about the protesters in kayak vs me in 35'+ boats stories...they are pretty funny too!
