Ya im gonna get the one on Amazon with the air cooled hood and that exhaust air will help keep the basement in the mid 70s. We have a 6 inch vivosun inline fan filter combo in the 4x4 and we are getting a 4 inch combo to sit in our basement stairway landing to filter any funk that tries to make it up the stairs. This hps is a way cheaper better option for now. Thanks!

Yeah, I think you guys will be better off going this route as well. For all of LEDs benefits they sure are expensive still. But it's easy to forget that the 4x4 is almost twice the area of the 3x3, I think that 320w light would be a little lacking in there.

Plants are looking great though guys! And I'm glad to hear your starting to feel a little better JP. Hope things stay on the upswing and I'm looking forward to your grow off!

Yup, I'm kinda thinking the same as you are.
A 320 watt in a 4x4 would land it at 20/ft which for veg would be fine, but flowering would be a bit lacking imho.

I agree. Unless we shell out almost $500 we're not going to be able to get an led good enough for that 4x4. That 240w is kicking ass in the 3x3 so I figured the 320 should be enough. Im not gonna take the chance though. We'll just get the 600w halide/hps combo with the air cooled hood for $175 from Amazon. Hids never did me wrong.

Mine came from a bad roll over car accident in June of 99. I was in the backseat and the road we were on went from tar and chip to gravel and the girl driving lost control at 55mph right into a 10 ft ditch. We rolled idk how many times. I helped the passenger to the road and woke up in the hospital. I had all kinds of shit wrong with my lower back but I was 21 and stupid so I healed and never got my back fixed. Now I'm 43 and still stupid....I mean I just hate the damn hospital lmao.

Well the Vivosun isn't even an actual cool tube so if that's what your looking for I'd go with the middle one. The bottom one kinda seems like an extra $20 just for a different hood shape. The ballasts and bulbs are likely all actually made in the same damn factor so I doubt there's any real performance difference

Middle one it is. Ya, 99% of grow lights and everything else for that matter on Amazon is made in Shenzhen China. I just hope the ballast isn't a dud and the bulbs aren't broke and actually work. The 600w I got on Amazon in 2016 had 2 dud bulbs that came with it so I got some real bulbs from htgsupply.

I love my CMH in the grow room, picked it up off craigslist here for $125, and it was even delivered to my jobsite. lol. I run it between a couple of LED lights in the flower room. I've never ran HPS, but I've sure seen alot of weed that it's grown, and smoked a great lot of it too. Does a damn fine job, tried and true light.

I've only been growing with leds since March. Before that I grew with shoplights and cfls for veg and hps for flower. The hps is pretty much a must for the winter time with us growing in an unfinished very cold basement. With 4 lights going, the dehumidifier and a heater it should stay nice and mild down there.

My grow is in an unheated built into the hill shop, so is pretty well insulated like your basement would be. The lights keep it mid 70s all winter long with no heat supply, but I have to run ac in the summer to keep things from hitting plant killing temps.
Just got my energy report and it says I use twice as much as the average person in my neighborhood. Lmfao.
A huge spike when I fired the flower room back up in spring after a 6 month hiatus, and another big spike when I had to start with the ac in July.

We're about double our neighbors usage too. These window acs are the biggest part of the bill. I can't wait until they come out here soon and the bill will plummet.

Thank you. I can walk now so I'm grateful for that. Im not much use for anything that requires me to be on my feet longer than 10 minutes though and I can't garden every day like I want. I made some medicated cookies yesterday but that was all I had lol. Compression pains in my lower lumbar and sciatica are with me daily now since I last hurt myself almost 2 months ago. It's been 4 days now since I've been downstairs. Im trying to get my back as strong as possible, if that's possible before my wife goes back to work.

I wasn't able to fully rehab, no, but I am stronger, and we may be okay soon depending on everything that happens next week with corporate. I don't plan on backing down with telling them they need to compensate me other than just giving me hours back on the schedule. They messed up our situation bad. I would say that my pushing my arm was what caused that horrible flare up but you and I both know, when I start hurting I came home and that twat waffle who hit me twice and my managers for not enforcing their own rules, is why we are in this mess. We will be fine, we will have a good Christmas, I will be screaming JUMANJI again for New Years, lol. We are alive, breathing, together, our kids are happy and healthy and that's all that matters in the end. We may be broken, but we are STRONG. I love you.

It’s what most of us blokes do . Our body says no but our mind says yes . My back is pretty well shot but I don’t know the meaning of take it easy .
We just don’t like sitting around like sad assed cripples feeling like burdens to others . Yeah I know it’s stupid but it’s kind of hardwired into anyone with work ethics DNA .
