The fridge cut method? ABSOLUTELY! It was taught to me by Budderton on the Overgrow forums, it's a technique quite a few ppl use, including a close friend of mine, with success. I just mirror Buddeton's method, he himself has successfully held cuts for about 9 weeks, at which point they weresuper wilted & horrid looking, but sprang back to life in a glass of water & were rooted. For me personally, this is my second attempt; my first attempt was poor & cuts didn't root, I'm trying it again in a such simpler manner.

Popped a dome on it, and within about 10 hrs it's springing back.

I'll give it a day or two to stand up straight. I have other cuts, can try again.

If you're not above 60%, you gotta . Otherwise that happens. I used to put them all in a big tote and just leave the lid cracked and that worked great , instead of the bag I mean.

I didn't have a dome last season, but I did manage to replicate enough for them to root:

I kept the tent sealed shut, no lights or fan, for 2 days, and then I used the little LED light panel I started Seedlings with, turned down to about 30 or 40 % and basically left them on and started checking about a week and a half into it and saw roots on some. Those went outside and the rest stayed until they had roots. I did use well water to spray them every day, just to keep RH up, and I gave them a root supplement in water when I gave them water to help with getting roots too. When cut they were dipped in CloneX powder and watered in with the supplement, and it worked very well.

If I had to guess, I'd say a 24 hour soak instead of 1 hour. How much time did you give them to acclimate from the fridge to the cup?

My cloning principles are based on how much I have under the medium in relation to how much is above. As long as the cut isn't trying to transpire more than it can uptake, I've never had an issue.

Maybe your impatience is at fault here.

That's probably it, i shoulda gave it more time in the water cup, I think even Budderton goes 24 hrs on that. That was my bad. Welp, let's see if it still roots

Well, shit ??‍♂️??? lol. Another failure. But, that's how you learn, right? The cut just stayed limp so I just tossed it.

Was also holding a cut of FAB which I decided to let go, to focus more on the OG Kush and Chernobyl. I can already tell FAB is too fruity for me to want to keep, i prefer more acrid or savory terp profiles. I'm still holding fridge cuts of both CMK phenos for now.

UP-TO-DATE UPDATE. ... I took pics of each plant. Here's the FAB MC, i basically went thru it & pulled off a shitload of bunched up or blocky fan leaves, which was like half of em ??‍♂️ lol!


Here's the CMK2, aka Weird CMK. Still way behind everything else, but just starting to pew-pew her pistols ?


Below is CMK1, aka Standard CMK. GREAT early frost & already starting to get a wee bit of a sour funk.


Last and least ?? lol, but that's not saying much becuz she's still fucking gorgeous, is the ILGM Durban. In waaaay too small a pot (2gal) that is nearly bone dry within 24 hrs but oh well, I'm riding her out & she's taking it like a champ.

2x2 is poppin. I may have to up-pot the OG Kush again before I flower it, currently in a #2 pot, and just transplanted the Chernobyl into the #1 in the back. Might need to go get me a #3 pot and finish it in a 5gal or 7gal fabric.

If that 2-gallon starts drying out too quickly you can always ditch the grid and let it soak up some of the runoff. Or stick the whole thing in a 5-gallon.

Yeah i did that once before, put the 2gal into a 3gal because the tomato cage I was using was wide & didn't fit a 2gal. This girl has sturdy branches though. I think she'll be ok, maybe the watering stress will give her more trichs or 'noids.

Another option is to wrap the sides of the grow bag with saran wrap. It should slow water loss quite a bit.

I Really thought this OG Kush would be more rootbound, but it's not bad. Probably coulda slid it back into the #2 for a couple weeks, but up-potted it anyway:

5gal fabric pot to finish her in; she'll veg for 2 or 3 more weeks, then I'm gona try to get her into flower.


Chernobyl also doing well in the #1 pot still.

Got a PBB cut attempting to root in a dresser drawer, and because of this I had to remove my Chernobyl but not before taking a fridge cut, I hope to fire her back up later.



Flipped the OG Kush into flower, hoping to get this into the 4x4 in the next two weeks.


Very VERY impressed with the ILGM Durban (front) and the FAB MC (back). I swear to gawd the Durban, lat night, gave me 'Cinnamon Toast Crunch' vibes when sniffing it. The FAB is just gas-gas-gas, pedal to the floor & a wee bit of berry sweetness but just overpowering fuel rankness. @pwnytailjoe had the audacity to call me "the Jack Kevorkian of weed" and while I don't disagree, that mfer was a fucking HERO as far as I'm concerned ???‍♂️ lol! I just get impatient as to what i should be growing or want to grow, so I have 0 qualms about pulling a plant to start something else. My #1 priority is to ENJOY this, and I love moving things around, in weed and in Life.

Also, i guess my theory that Blueberry Muffin parentage would bring an early finish time to this strain, was wrong, lol! Maybe another pheno will have that trait, this one doesn't she's taking her sweet ass time per usual ??‍♂️?

i49 OG Kush lookin reeeeeal nice! Still kinda smells like boiled peanuts but that "kush" funk is starting to come thru.

I think it's gona be some nice "average" smoke. Cant complain.


2x2 moving along nicely. In far back right corner is Mountain Top Mint in the cup, BobBitchens Chernobyl in the #1 pot, a cut of original PBB rooting in the tray, HSC Nutter Budder in that "blocked" cup in the middle, and the big girl is HSO PBB fast-flower. I'll be getting my hands on ThugPug PBB bx seeds after i cut down the OG Kush
