Tents, how does yours rate?

Hmmm, your a local. Only locals know about steelhead in the Stanislaus, it actually has two runs one in summer and one in winter, can’t fish the winter one cuz river closes for the salmon runs, but fishing is spectacular. Knights ferry is a beautiful area, behind the store in the little town, I know a guy that grows on the hillside there, he breeds his own strains lives there. He ties flys and fishes the Orange Blossom Road area heavily. Love the area and miss fishing the river.
Nice to have a local on the site, nice to meet you.
Having any luck growing and fishing in gold country, your close to the upper Sacramento River, ever fish it?
I've fished the upper sac river for rainbow trout they have big ones there & in the feather as well I was recently given a custom spinning rod 7 .2 lamiglas blank & carbon fiber handles for salmon light as a feather gonna pair it up with a revo reel another thing people don't know is the stanislaus from about oakdale down has sturgeon I've seen stripers clear up to the little dam by the orange blossom bridge these aren't schoolkids either they readily hit rapala x--rap slash baits in rainbow trout pattern

yo I got a zazzy too, the name always makes me LOL

got my first 4x4 still from years ago, an Apollo. Wish they still made it, super heavy duty, super kickass. was cheaper than any 4x4 i find these days, even the cheap ones.
I'm so happy with the 4x4 budget tent that when I wear it out I'll be researching more expensive ones but this one does the job & I'm gonna focus on cooling , odor control & ventilation eventually building another light in the neighborhood of 600w. I hacked a chinese blurple to get the 480w. of cob led I'm running now

Recently picked up a 4x8 "Ultra Yield" tent. It seems like a good tent, but the only thing I can compare it to is my old 4x8 made from 2x2s, 2x4s, and panda film.

I won't be running a grow in the tent until this summer, but it was pretty easy to set up with two people so moving it shouldn't be a problem. It does seem to have a heavier duty fabric, as well as double cinching exhaust ports and an included 1 ft extension that brings it up near 8' tall. When I zipped it up and got inside, I noticed no light leaks whatsoever.

So far I am satisfied with my purchase, however, I still haven't put it through daily use so I'll hold off on recommending it until I have. I paid $350 for the 4x8, but it has since gone up a bit.

Do you have any pics of it put together I've never seen a 4x8 tent up ready to go & what are you gonna use for light ?

Someone please post when they get their hands on an AC Infinity tent. Would love to get that review asap

I’m seriously looking at these tents with temp. sensors, ac fans setup, they look like they might be better than all my Gorilla tents, expensive does not mean quality.

AC Infinty have started producing tents at what looks like a reasonable price . Let’s hope the standards in quality they carry with their fans carry over to the tents .
I just got the AC Infinity 3x3 and am very impressed so far. Fat poles, thick fabric and an opening to run their controls. The only issue is the flap for the control cords needs to be taped/Velcro’d down to prevent light leaks. Insane quality for the price

Yeah I thought at a glance the price was too good to be true . Great to see them give the market a shake up in quality tents . The company gives first class customer service as well as I found out when I had an issue with a fan . Full fast replacement in good time . Might pay to give them your thoughts on any improvements as I see some of the larger tents are still at development stage

Thanks!! Appreciate the quick feedback! Might have to jump on one when the larger sizes become available :D

Here's a few pics. I was planning on running 6 qb 96 elite v2's on two hlg-320h-54a's per 4x4.
I run 480w of cobs but feel something like you're gonna do would be the cats meow I have a growmie that uses a spider farmer 4000 (480w) he consistantly out yields me growing the same strains I feel it's because the boards give a better light spread than the cobs where you gonna get drivers? Www.octopart.com is a good place to look I would like to build similar setup using 6 boards & 3 xlg 200h-ab adjustable voltage drivers they're about $40 each & are dimmable like an hlg "b" series driver

Interesting to note it’s been a few years since the last post regarding the threads subject . Members have come and gone but whats changed in tents as in popular brands ? New brands on the market and who’s still happy and using tents they spoke about 4 years ago ? My Mars 5x5 is just starting to show zip niggles after 4 years constant use which I think is pretty good for the price .

I ran many 4x4 and 5x10 tents over the past 15+yrs. The 5x10 was tricky putting it up by myself. But I figured it out. The 5x10 lasted nearly 10yrs. Had 3x a/c big kahuna hoods when it was my flower room. Then built a sealed flower room and the 5x10 was kicked down to veg duty with 2x a/c big kahuna hoods.

All tents were Gorilla brand.

I still have all my AC Infinity tents no complaints they are all several years old I been MIA for a moment due to health reasons but like my tents still kicking lol

I'm currently in a GrowHut 48"x48"x80", and it is a big improvement over the generic iPower tent I had before it. I've never used the high end tents, but this one is much sturdier than the iPower by far. For <$100, even my cheap ass wasn't complaining too much about the price. Only complaint is that with all the wrinkles, the inside zipper flaps don't lay flat, hopefully that will even out once it stretches to the frame a little.

I have both Vivosun 4x4 and ACI 4x4 tent kits in storage, but never used. I'm not in the market for a tent, but if I were buying a new tent, it would certainly be a Budbox Pro. I have friends that use them and love them. I would get the 5x5 that is 7.5 feet tall. If I had the space, I would get the bigger one that is 8 feet tall....

BudBox PRO XL plus-HL Grow Tent 5x5
Great info as it’s always what I struggle with the height of the tent . If only because I’m tall so moving around in it would be much more accomodating. Cheers 🍻

I like a 3x3x72" tent for my ladies. My favorite is an Apollo 3x3x72". 6 years of full service before I finally blew a zipper. So now it's a veg tent.
The I Power was the leakiest, and the rest of the no names were plenty good with a little Elmer's on the few light leaks.
I've also purchased odd sized tents to fill in specific areas.
Also running a pair of no name 2x2x4's for individual breeding projects and pollen collection.

I always keep a bar of ivory soap by my grow, and I'll give the zippers a good rubdown with it as soon as I feel a zipper getting fussy!

AC Infinity 2x2x4 & 4x4x6.6 I almost could not get the 6'6" one up in the basement, and I can't drag it past the support beam hah. I have some no name I bought off amazon as well. Thats just for drying it's horrible otherwise. Quality on the AC is good, the 2x2 had no light leakage at all, and worked well for my first grow. 1st time on my 4x4 I see a bit of leakage on the side zipper but nothing a little tape wont handle. Everything else looks good so far. Going to use the dove bar trick or maybe some wax on the zipper(s).

This is why I went with gorilla tent with extension. Tent is 8' tall. Have 3x3 limitations already so I didn't want vertical restrictions as well.
