Because I'm still convinced your lying.
To back up the claims made by the staff here?
what's up @GK??????? he's your Friend Too????
I understand why you would feel this way considering your personal experiences with Srenots and those experiences being nothing but good, having said friend banned, and not seeing any of the 'dirty laundry' (for lack of better words) aired publicly to support the claims.
Considering this issue was with Srenots, and handled between Srenots and staff, its Srenot's business and shouldn't be aired publicly.. In my opinion, posting 'screenshots' of communications, notifications, and or reports to staff to offer you, or anyone else not involved, 'proof,' to support their decision is also violating their integrity toward other members that came forward and brought this to their attention in the first place. These people did so wanting to remain anonymous I'm sure and not to be called out publicly, or have it posted publicly, which in turn could turn community members against them and or label them as a snitch. It would most likely only discourage other members in the future from wanting to report anything they deemed appropriate to be looked into by staff. I understand how from your position this is hard to digest, (the banning of a friend) without seeing the actual communications and why the decision was made, but try to understand why 'proof' wasn't posted as well. The staff here are genuinely good, generous guys, that made an attempt to rectify the issues without a ban, and were completely unbiased toward Srenots in the first place. It's how Srenots handled it. The only way to truly understand this is to see both sides of the story and not just one side.
I'm here, though not enough. Nor do I care for any sort of drama and preferred to just stay out of it completely and do my thing with what limited time I have. This isn't what you all might think it is. In all honesty, Srenots handled it poorly, and that's why he's not here. He wasn't getting banned, he was warned or better informed that he was breaking the terms of service for using the site (cold calling/spam) and asked to stop breaking those terms. He was informed he could sell his beans publicly in his personal thread. Had he just agreed not to do that again, he'd still be here (business as usual) and we wouldn't have this bickering and cloudy weather hanging over. But he didn't. He never addressed the warnings after three separate attempts, therefor he was banned.
Let me make an attempt to break this down from my understanding;
1. Members selling seeds here is okay if advertising the sale is kept publicly on their thread. The transaction itself, or transaction details between members is strongly discouraged publicly, and should be moved to private message or email. However, cold calling members to sell seeds is in violation of the TOS. It's considered spam. (Srenots was informed of this and didn't address it.)
2. Srenots 'offered' seeds to members via 'cold calling' through private messages in what originally sounded like a free offer to the members he was private messaging. When they expressed potential interest in free seeds, he replied with his price list and seed menu. (now retracting what seemed like a free offer to the member and rather a sales pitch.) Again, brought to Srenots attention by staff with a warning and never addressed by Srenots. There were concerned members that brought this to the staffs attention in the first place and they were just doing their job looking into it in an attempt to keep this place safe for everyone. Remember, they're completely unbiased toward Srenots, they attempted to rectify the issue respectfully, but rather Srenots took zero responsibility for it, nor did he once say he'd just follow the TOS. It was handled poorly on his part.
3. The claim of "selling untested seeds" comes from Srenots himself saying most of seeds are testers (when asked) yet still trying to sell them without mentioning they're testers unless asked. Selling testers is a frowned upon practice in the community unless it's known upfront and the purchaser is still okay with purchasing said testers. It's common practice to give out 'testers' for free.
4. The claim of selling someone else's genetics. In this particular circumstance, his selling of C99. He did not create C99. C99 is not his strain. Buying a pack of someones strain, for instance C99, F2'ing it, and then selling them (C99) is strongly discouraged in the community. You don't take someone else's work, F2 it, and then sell it. It's completely different when he uses C99 to make his own strains as that's what breeding is. Those strains he creates using C99 are perfectly acceptable to sell. Once tested of course.
Again, it wasn't an instant ban. The staff addressed the issues brought to their attention, tried to mitigate it, and Srenots handled it poorly after three attempts, resulting in his ban.
Thank you @Phylex for taking the time to break that down... I know your busy bro & didn't wanna drag you into this at all ? Your answer is literally everything I asked about & gives more background than anyone else here has brought forward. I just wanted to understand in an unbiased manor what all was done wrong (other than the spam, I get that) & why it was wrong & what needs to happen so it didnt happen to me. Thank you again.
