They're up, same as leb and lao sa, hence the lazy bastard I am. 7 mazar going, these should have pink stigmas as both mothers did. Lebanese are up and about to be transplanted and lao are up. I'm going to use some lao sa pollen on the Mullumbimby madness. Too much on go. I'll get a journal fired up today
I appreciate that! I'm very interested in landraces, but my only experience has been chopping down male Tashkurgan plants so far. Lol hope I don't annoy you with scent requests :) any of them big enough to rub yet?

you're up shit Creek if you think my nose is any good. I've been working on retraining my sense of smell after losing the majority of it. It's gotta be pungent for me to pick it up. I'll try my best for ya Billy. Heaven forbid I pick up a pheno with any dairy in it....I'm buggered then lol.

So. I've been reading this thread, to be honest I haven't finished it yet, pretty great idea, I gotta say.

I guess I will just lay it out here, I don't know if this is proper etiquette or what, I'm sure someone will tell me, LOL....

I have a bunch of seeds of a strain that is claimed to be the famed 'Santa Maria'. About 15 years ago, I acquired several dozen seeds of various strains through the mail from a person in Amsterdam. They were all very high quality. I wasn't into the seed making thing then so I've lost almost all of those lines and yeah, I could kick myself.

There were two seeds of the Santa Maria, notated 'F6'. I didn't get to ask any questions, and of course I had a bunch. Anyway, spring of 2018 I grew both of those seeds out and as luck would have it, one was a male and one was a female. I allowed the pollination and that was that, got seeds....the mom was about 3 feet tall when I pollinated her (maybe 8 weeks old?) and didn't really grow much more. I had other fish to fry so I didn't keep any of that bud around, I sampled a little and gave it to a friend....I had a high tolerance at that time and I didn't really evaluate it well at all. Also this was done outdoors in the spring in dirt, to say it wasn't an optimized grow would be an understatement.

A friend ran some of these two different times and got all males. The count numbers were low, around 7-8 each time but still....

I am probably not going to do anything with them, you guys interested?

For what it's worth, I do believe they are the real deal, the other strains I got from this person were phenomenal.

Just a thought 👍

Hell yes! It's worth a try. I'm pretty busy, but if nobody takes you up on that in a few days, hit me up. I can find a way. Good luck!

Roz I got you man. I will message you soon, am on the road for a couple of days. Anyone else interested I should be able to send some to at least a couple of other people. Would like to see them done justice.

😎
All righty then, with 10-12 beans I can run an open pollination seed run, if you believe they are worthy. If you doubt, I can just hunt through them. You make the call!

I believe that they are a Dutch version of Santa Maria, I was never able to really take a hard look at them to have an opinion as to quality. I can only go by what the other seeds that I got from that person was like and going by that, I believe they should be given a shot at redemption.
I will get some to you and hopefully a few others and you guys make the call as to worthiness. I will hold back a 10 pack or so just in case.
The Santa Maria had a really good reputation years back, it would be awesome to see what happens with a few simultaneous runs, maybe there are a few gems in there.

Talk soon.

What I had read on a breeder website
(NoMercy seeds)
___________________________^
Santa Maria

" The last 17 years our Santa Maria has proven itself worldwide over and over again. It's unique qualities are the result of a labour-intensive breeding program; after having crossed an original Santa Maria (Brazilian, but exact genetic background unknown) with a Mexican Haze and a Silver Pearl and inbreeding the resulting plant for 4 generations, one male was selected to pollinate a pure Santa Maria mother. After this we inbred 8 times by backcrossing a male/son with a pure Santa Maria mother. Scientifically spoken an F6 should be pure, but according to our experience, cannabis plants become true breeding only in F8.

One of the all time great strains, our Santa Maria is extremely fast for a mostly sativa variety and can be succesfully grown both indoors as outdoors, even in moderate climates.

This exotic 'white' variety is known for it's powerful erotic effects"

I also seem to remember reading that it was the strain that made the modern, potent autoflower varieties possible, because of its vigor and quick growth.

I guess we will find out, eh?
