The .Smoke Shack

Ever find yourself looking around just waiting for something bad to happen because things have been running a bit too smoothly for a bit too long???
That's where I'm @ at this moment....

Everyone seems to be on cruise control and making the tent feel ever so smaller as each day passes.

I may have even scored a 100% success rate on the 3 seeds.

Have to give cudos to @Buck5050 again for the inspiration with his hempy cups.

I've always needed a way to start seeds and clones a "hempy way" without using a ton of media but never found a way that worked for me.
After finding a few random items I had lying around, I think I created my answer.

I had a couple 1gal plastic buckets with holes in the bottom and a small tote with locking lid that I made for my cactus and succulent that wasn't getting used anymore. A 3/8" quick connect X male shutoff vavle, a 1/4" quick connect X male 90, pvc primer and a hot glue gun.

The holes in the lid I made previously with a 2" hole saw.

I drilled a hole 2" up from the base for the drain, used the primer to soften the plastic some, and glued the shut off in place.

On the front, I drilled the hole and glued the fitting in slightly down from the top.

Splitting the lid down the center using a utility knife without destroying it was the worst part, but needed so I can remove the plants when they are ready to transplant to buckets.

The 1 gallon pots hold the perlite/vermiculite and just happened to be the perfect height to fit inside.

The water comes in the feed line filling the container 2" and the drain+gravity does the rest.

Pop on the lid and keep on truckin... :)

Edit cause my spelling sucks...

Plants are getting taller so I moved them around and made some more changes/improvements to the flower tent.

You may find yourself wondering, "how does this crazy bastard plan to improve on 2 air cooled 1000W hps lights in a 4'x8' tent?"....
The only obvious way I say....with more watts and lights!

So I dusted this neglected guy off...
20201011_200345.jpg
Grabbed a crowbar for leverage, put 600w hps' in the 2 smaller hoods running @ 650w and crammed them in along with the 1000w hood.

Versatility to run different size strains while banging every inch of the canopy with 2,300 watts of maximum coverage and penetration. (A bit nutz? Of course :devilish:)

Which ment back to the 315 cmh for the veg tent.

I've been working on making the grow room a bit more user friendly. It's taken a lot (like days...) longer than expected, but I've pretty much got things settled in. Eventually I plan to wall around the area to hide everything given where I'm located.

I'm super happy I kept a cutting. She's a sturdy, healthy plant that is going to be a great producer with an insane amount of trichome production.

I rigged up my uvb today to see what happens when she gets a little defensive.
Starting with 3- 1 hour intervals today.
