Have to give cudos to
@Buck5050 again for the inspiration with his hempy cups.
I've always needed a way to start seeds and clones a "hempy way" without using a ton of media but never found a way that worked for me.
After finding a few random items I had lying around, I think I created my answer.
I had a couple 1gal plastic buckets with holes in the bottom and a small tote with locking lid that I made for my cactus and succulent that wasn't getting used anymore. A 3/8" quick connect X male shutoff vavle, a 1/4" quick connect X male 90, pvc primer and a hot glue gun.
The holes in the lid I made previously with a 2" hole saw.
I drilled a hole 2" up from the base for the drain, used the primer to soften the plastic some, and glued the shut off in place.
On the front, I drilled the hole and glued the fitting in slightly down from the top.
Splitting the lid down the center using a utility knife without destroying it was the worst part, but needed so I can remove the plants when they are ready to transplant to buckets.
The 1 gallon pots hold the perlite/vermiculite and just happened to be the perfect height to fit inside.
The water comes in the feed line filling the container 2" and the drain+gravity does the rest.
Pop on the lid and keep on truckin...
Edit cause my spelling sucks...
