I’m not familiar with your dispensary quality and how and if it’s regulated . From what I’ve heard most of it is crap .

Between my knuckles would crack and bleed in the winter time from all the thinset and grout . There were a few that worked but a lot of them would sting. Aquaphor was the only thing that worked for me. Definitely going to give this a try. ?

Ok so another one that works and is great in its own right is this


It’s super greasy so just use it at home. The nurses at the wound clinic recommended it and man it does the job. It really helped my feet and I use it in my knuckles when I don’t go out. So try a combo.

I don't know the chemical composition, but an "industrial" version would often be available on the job to combat what you are describing. It would not only preserve your own body's moisture, it also provided some protection against the wicking effect of various substances we would come into contact with, and from that of the leather gloves.

No but I’ll look into it. I got several creams and they all work differently

I use it in oil refineries and chemical plants and in coal fired boilers. There are few things that will suck the moisture out and leave a guy cracked and bleeding more than fly ash, in my experience. Working in ammonia plants is another nasty one that comes to mind.

A good layer of barrier cream always made a significant difference.


Another product that a lot of guys use is udder cream, meant for use on dairy cows to deal with chafing and chapping. Any farm supply place should carry it, and it shouldn't be expensive.
