Yeah, those limbs don't look much good for pushing water. When you stroll past the pool at the right time . This little fella was paddling for his life . They’re terrible swimmers and drown after a short time . Lucky little fella gets a second chance . View attachment 96076 Yep the pool needs a clean .
Look on the bright side; if computers still had floppy disk drives, you could take the metal top off, shave kitchen matches into the cotton part and use clear nail polish to put it back together and essentially read any file from it and burn it to the ground?Adding failing at computer know how to the what I did today list. Lmfao
@Dino Party I can change it back if you want. Lol
Yeah he was paddling and going nowhere fast . Even if he made the edge those little wings aren’t going to haul him free . I have a family of them in my garden roaming around . They produced young in the spring . He’s a new addition .Yeah, those limbs don't look much good for pushing water.
He looks kinda like an overweight skink.
( Australian Blue Tongue Lizard )
Yep they definitely have all the characteristic looks of a Skink except maybe a wider girth . I’ll be working in the garden and I’ll here a rustling noise in the undergrowth. They’re foraging for Fruit , Snails etc . Whatever they can findWell shit, I'm smarter than I knew.
From the link:
Blue-tongued lizards are the largest members of the skink family.
We had them in our science class in junior high and I always thought they were cool.
That's very cool. I love lizards, snakes, even spiders. I appreciate all the creepy-crawlies, even the ones that wish to devour me.I’ll be working in the garden and I’ll here a rustling noise in the undergrowth. They’re foraging for Fruit , Snails etc . Whatever they can find
Same deal . Wifey keeps me in check or my yard would look like a zoo . I wanted to bring this little fella home when I plucked him off a highway several years ago . She gave me a reality check and obviously she was right . He’s much better off on the arid landsThat's very cool. I love lizards, snakes, even spiders. About all I have around here these days are birds, deer and coyotes. In the summer there are a few snakes, but cold-blooded critters generally don't thrive around here for some reason.
That Alligator Lizard has some serious armour plated skin . Some great reptile pics . I’m big on Fauna as well . I get conflicted at times because I’d love to have a heap of Pets but the other half of me says leave them where their meant to live . I struggle with birds in cages . An aviary is somewhat better because at least they get to fly around but bird cages ………….. not for meOur local skinks

I love wildlife. I've got a video somewhere of a blue belly lizard taking worms from my hand as well as sparrows doing the same?
