After getting the seedlings planted and put in the tent and popping beans we ended up digging out the "lid" of the Septic system, cutting down pine trees and moving them to the side yard where the other tree line is my soon to be Father in law went under the house to see what was going on and the sump pump wasn't working and after getting it going again it over heated to fuck so it got taken out.... lol fucker was HOT when we dragged that out and made steam when the motor touched the wet grass.

Smelled interesting though lol. My back was bugging me before all that but fucking let me tell you about the blend I ground up today!

I ground up some Chem D, and then about an equal amount of Cactido and mixed it up.... the taste is so good it's ridiculous!

Almost juicy the way the aftertaste effect is. Lol thank God I made that blend. I'm stoned like a gravel road, excellent tasting and potent blend hahahaha! I feel like this would cross well cause Cactido is pungent too with a garlic smell but the taste is like sweet floral and odd, and the Chem D went from smelling like Burnt Rubber to smelling not unlike Lemon Pledge.... lol but together it's like wonder twin powers activate!

So far today I'm still in my jammies & house shoes, I've smoked some weed, texted a few folks for work n personal, kissed the GF goodbye to work, tended the plants, smoked some more weed, posted on the forum a bunch, and now thinking I might smoke another one before trimming some buds off branch for jarring. ✂️✂️✂️
Maybe a few more smoke breaks while I do some scissorwork. ??
So far I'm enjoying/loving the day. ???
Happy 420 y'all ???

We worked at our food bank, I'm Flippin beat!!
When the covid flu crap started all of our volunteers ran and hid and never came outta hiding and it's been rough. Over 2 years.
And now with the price of EVERYTHING going up and the sate is supposed to stop all the extra food stamp/covid theater we'll be getting busier.
People in general are lazy, heck I'm lazy Lol
Skunky's Rant is over.

Today I went with the Wife and soon to be youngest step daughter for her school concert. She did a great job singing, and when we got back out to the car she had been asking how she did and she asked me what I thought and if I thought she did a good job, and I was like "well yeah, I clapped..... what you think I'm some fake clapper??? I'd I thought you did wrong I'd have booed your ass off the stage!" And she cracked up. Good times. Lol.

Just went for a walk . Met five neighbors, three dogs, one cat, had two different beavers slap their tails at me, saw a rabbit, a grouse, about 30 red-winged blackbirds and various waterfowl and was serenaded by a million frogs; all within about 500 yards of my house.

Why did I stay in that damned city so long?

I don't see Beavers much around here, though I must say in terms of walking around in the county part in the back:

My very first time EVER having Mushrooms (Psilocybin) I was with the Wife, and one of our best friends, and we went hiking in the back, and as we are walking, there's a part where you can go down a winding trail to the river, or go up to another ridge line, and as we walked up the ridge line, a baby deer was right in front of us..... It was epic!

I love walking out there and we generally try to go out at least once or twice a week depending on the Weather. The other day we went out after I made a blend of Cactido and Blue Cheese (The Sister Pheno that smells more floral and sweet but tastes spicy AF LOL) and I got a few pictures. The Trilliums have started to bloom out there, so with those and other wild flowers blooming it's starting to look stunning :)

^ You can sort of see the pretty Yellow Flowers blooming in that one; I didn't get closer because it's quite a steep ridge LOL.

From what I understand; These are a protected species here, so you aren't allowed to pick them. We actually have like 2 or 3 of them that popped up in one of the side gardens we have, and I'm guessing they just kind of blew in on the wind or something. Pretty cool though.

I've also been hearing that Morel Mushrooms have officially started being found in the woods out this way, though we haven't personally seen any yet. We tap them on the ground when we pluck those so they can get some spores on the ground. We also had a big ass Puffball Mushroom that had already gone passed it's peak, so we stuck in by the side yard's tree line, and stepped on it with our boots on before walking around through the woods so that we could spread some spores of that around more.

We also get Shaggy Manes in the yard too, and out in the back there's "Chicken of the Woods" or "Hen of the Forest" too, but I can't remember which one, or if those are the same thing; They're really good though and there's ONE log on the top of the Ridge that gets those, and then another log WAY out in the woods in a REALLY hard to get to spot that has a BUNCH of them!

We went out there one day Mushroom hunting, and we had brought like two grocery bags with us to store any we found, and when we found that log that's deep in the woods, it looked like the Chicken ones, and so we went down to where the log was, and sure enough, it was a HUGE score of them! We literally filled two grocery bags with those, and that wasn't even close to half the Mushrooms on that ONE log.

My guess is that because it's so far out there, and not easy to get to, that no one else picks them there, so, we took the bags we had of them and left the rest to spore so they will hopefully come back again :)

I went fishing at the river for a while after lunch. I managed to catch the first goldeye of the year, an absolute tank. Alas, he was the only one I was able to outsmart. I had a handful of bites but couldn't seal the deal. Also saw the first garter snake of the year, sunning himself on the trail. I love those little guys. :)

I eventually came home, but didn't want to go inside so I went for a stroll. There are a lot of great trails around, but I like to go off the paths and bush-bash.

I found this bambi relaxing on a fur blanket in the sun ;) in some brush that is surrounded by walking paths. This is less than 250 yards from my house. It's unusual to find such a complete skeleton, usually they are scattered.
I find it fascinating that there are these life and death struggles going on almost outside my door.

I've realized something that amused me: I am a forest creature.

I guess it comes from growing up where clearings were rare. Even though Alberta is considered one of the Prairie Provinces I've never lived out on the flatlands, only on the foothills of the Rockies and in the northern boreal forests.
While some people feel nervous or even claustrophobic in thick brush, to me it feels like safety. Whenever I am out in the open, I start to get nervous. I don't like the idea that I might be observed from afar by an unknown entity. In the thick stuff I can hear, or even almost sense, any other critters of significant size, whether through their actions or from the reactions of all the other forest creatures with far better senses that me.

Just thought I'd share that minor epiphany. /shrug
I'd always known I love the woods, but I had never registered how almost instinctual and internalized the connection was. I like it. : )

I really hope one day you can come and visit; there's a spot deep in the woods here that I think you'd love! It's deep and thick and the only real clearing is the river running near by :) it's beautiful out there to say the least.

I was able to keep my clone king offline for about 4 weeks. She'll get put online in the AM. There are 6 plants to be cloned, and then nothing until Cranberry Juice or the Last Chem Scout are ready to flip. Proly about 5 weeks for that. I think I need to put down another Veg tent?!? Maybe not. If I had 20 tents, chances are they would all get put into service, sooner rather than later!!!

I just got home from participating in the annual community clean-up. Crawled around in the brush on the fringes of town, filling up garbage bags and hauling out junk. My wage was hot dogs.

You probably couldn't have paid me to pick garbage(ya ya, mr hoity toity), but it felt good to volunteer.

Good on ya! we are so rural here that there are no organized clean ups or much of anything else, so When I go to the river or the parks, I take along a few empty sacks to pick up after others. I think we should get 1 day per year to shoot chronic trash dumpers! That trash we would leave where they lay as a warning to the rest!!!
