What did you do today?

When was the last time you did a face plant, well that’s to long!
Me?
Harvesting loofa yesterday ahead of the freeze, thought I could just plow through the vine my foot was caught on, lucky for me my nose broke my fall! :stoned:
Seriously, this is another one of those situations you go “that could have been really bad”! Missed a 4x4 by inches, nose would not have like that.
My guardian angel has to work his tail off trying to keep me in semblance of one piece. I’m not helping much! :punkrocker:

It just happens! Perhaps yours and my Guardian Angels, just like working overtime! If I were to look back at the near misses in the last month alone, I'd probably end up buying myself one of those 'boy in the bubble' suits. But then, I'd probably try to inflate it with Helium!

When was the last time you did a face plant,
Some years back, early ice, many miles from the nearest hospital, I was hauling my ice fishing gear onto the lake.

I had a homemade collapsible hut that was stupidly heavy and didn't glide worth a damn. I didn't have spikes on my boots and when I leaned hard into the pull rope my feet flew up behind me and I faceplanted into the glare ice.

I must have taken enough of the force with my body(picture a tree falling, with the top bending back- the top hits slightly after the rest) because I didn't do any significant damage. Had a very slightly sore cheekbone and that was it. Carried on fishing and had a great day. :)

Wait, what? I just realized the potential. I wonder how much my helium my dry suit would contain?
Actually, this sounds like a job for Billy, he'd probably try anything…..for cheese!
Man, you could really test the limits of your mortality! :stoned:

I'll need a dry suit and some Helium. Temps haven't been above 45 degrees or so in a few days so, I can probably shock test it too LOL.

“you can sleep when your dead” doesn’t offer much comfort at 3:00 am!
Yeah, that saying never worked for me. Especially since it was usually a boss sitting in an office or a warm pickup saying it to the guys doing the actual work.

Instead of the normal black tea and sativa, I started the day with chamomile and indica. Kinda hoping to go back upstairs and get another hour of shuteye.

If you have any plants that don't smell fruity, let them go until they're nice and Amber filled on the resin side, and try them. The Terpenes that make up a lot of the fruity smells can be energizing on their own, but the ones like Myrcene and Beta Caryophyllene when pulled late, tend to help with sleep.

I've had insomnia since.... Man I think I was like 5 or 6 years old the first time I couldn't sleep at night. I remember being a stupid kid, crying my eyes out, because I convinced myself that I'd never be able to sleep again LOL. In College this was a non issue, since I majored in Computer Science, and NO ONE sleeps in that particular skill set. Ahhhh good ol' Jolt Cola.... How I miss that being everywhere haha.

I woke up around 2 AM today, and then, got too annoyed at how warm it was in the room (Wife was cold and took the fan out of the window) so I had to change my PJs back into the basketball shorts I normally wear to bed, and then still couldn't use the blanket. I think I dozed back off sometime after 5 or 6, and then got back up at 7:25.

Had no issue getting to sleep initially, but then again, 5 Chem Ds will do that.

I usually leave my Honda PS250, under the pole building's lean too, a covered porch, if you will, but it is not enclosed. Being my errand running machine, it's always, ready to go! Now that my crappy birdbath is freezing during the nights, I get a spot ready, inside the building, and attach a battery minder, so it's always ready to ride, as we can get a few warm days, during winter. But she hates the garage, really.
I also, had to put burlap clothes on the fig bushes, then I wrap a garden wire cage around them, and stuff leaves, down into the cavity, then pull a contractor bag down over them, and wish the the best till spring time.
Planted 50 + garlic cloves last week, Siberian garlic. It has a really strong garlic flavor, as I only planted the biggest cloves from 6 large bulbs.
Cooking with the rest of them.
Oh yeah, a couple of tubs of Leeks, a new one for me.

Picked up a free shed today.
Attached a couple 2x4's as runners and it moved and loaded up pretty easy.
Score, now the bikes can move outta the garage.

Make sure you build a rat wall for the base. Code here is a concrete slab (6" thick) plus 2' down x 4" wide (ish). I just male a wood platform, dug 2' down and 1' wide and used 2 layers of 1/4" chicken wire. I couldn't afford a slab to be poured.

Nice "tiny home".

Nice grab!! I like how you weren't playing with them ratchet straps though 💪
Haven't lost a load yet in all the hauling I've done, double redundancy and car straps for the win. 🫡
Did have to be careful the straps didn't crush the shed though. A fine line to secure and not crush. Lol
I liked jewels idea of the ice shack. Lol
