In Bloom
Quality over quantity is the game with organics/soil. Like you...I just don't need those monster yields that sacrifice quality to pull in the Benjamins anymore. I never personally enjoyed all of that hydro fare but it offered enough trim that it started me on the hash smoking gig I've never really lost. I got lazy last year and went with the MC.....but like running sterile res's...it takes a lot of the fun out of growing and knowing. Did for me anyway. When I ran the UC system I set up a 15 gallon res of fresh water on a float valve and regularly used to go away for a week at a time and the UC would just churn the entire time. Good $$$$$$ but damn boring growing.
You use anything special/have favorites you use in your teas? Just EWC? I'm looking at the KIS site and their "compost Tea activator"....basically bone/fish/alfalfa meal and some other goodies....but always have just made do with EWC and a few additives. Kinda figure that with the size of both gardens it may be a worthy outlay of cash. I'm also working on my own soil mix...so am gonna grab a bit of stuff for that adventure as well. fuckin A...all this stayin home sure makes it easy to shop....LOL..... but it's only money.....and we're only here once......and maybe not that long.......so hey....go for it.
