Reversing AlienOG

Getting ready to come down!

I was plucking some more mature pods again the other night and some new smells are developing. I was getting what I could only describe as new shoe insoles and sweet lemons. Lemons are alright (so many better flavors in my opinion) and up to this point I have kinda steered clear of 'lemon' weed for quite some time now since I felt like it was a bit played out. But after smelling these I can't wait to taste em! So much so that I ordered a couple lemon carts last night to try...LemonDrops and NigerianLemonFuel... Didn't try them yet, but hope they don't disappoint, lol.

I got a hypothetical (for me) question about reversing - anyone know if reversing a clone is harder than reversing the mother of that clone ? For example, you try reversing the young mother on Jan 1st, and then try reversing the clone you took from her (you took the clone on 12/31) on Feb 15th. Just wondering if the older the plant is, the harder it is to reverse ?

For me that's a question that has different answers depending on the plant. Does it clone easy/fast? How does the mother deal with stress?
Sounds like stressed after stress.

Good question Doobs! I'll try to speak from my experience/observation only. I now only have 2 reversals under my belt. This AlienOG being my second.

AlienOG, which was/is an elite only cut. It reversed just fine, but did not drop pollen like a plant from seed. The first reversal I did was a 10Fold (Jinxproof) a cut I found from seed. They both reversed just as easily as the other. However, the reversed from seed plant dropped a lot more pollen a lot more easier/freely than the reversed clone cut.

So, my assessment, is that, no they are not easier nor harder to reverse between seed or cut. But, they are however more difficult to collect pollen from a clone/cut than a seed plant.

I'll have to do a few more runs between them to make a final judgement on the matter. But that's what I'm observing currently?

Thanks for your thoughts @MO_Grow . I am gonna try to reverse some clones in a month or two, but if I could turn back the clock, I would also try to reverse the seed mothers, which are now a couple weeks into 12/12, since their pollen might drop more easily than the clones' pollen..

No problem! After some thought tho, I think I may have misspoken previously. The 10Fold I reversed was a clone cut from a seed mom that I found... It was the first generation of that cloned pheno tho.

This AlienOG has been around a while. I've personally had it about a year now and these were from like 3rd-4th generation of cuttings while I'm my possession alone. Who knows how many times it was cloned out before me...

Maybe that might have something to do with it not dropping as easily, but that's just speculation at this point. I did however spray longer, gave more applications, the first time also, so that may also play a part. Just wanted to clarify my mistake?

I just took down the initial targeted reversal plant last night. And it smells fucking amazing! I was letting the smaller receiver plants go a lil longer to let them beans ripen up a bit more ?

Man it's been a rough year or so for my garden... But brighter days are ahead for sure ? A lil bug damage, but we made it through alright I think. Gonna take these down and finally get cleaned up for a fresh start.
I recently grabbed a cart of SFV OG and the flavor tastes exactly how the AlienOG I handled the other night smells currently.

Next run I'll drop a couple of these S1s (among a few other things) and do a lil side by side with this original cut to see what's what.

How many seeds did you end up with? 50 ish, few hundred, couple of thousand? Great job mo

Not gonna lie. I just recently had my bday...which was great and all!...very grateful, and it was genuinely fun....while it lasted... Lazer tag with my daughter, nieces, and nephew... Some Old friends...Dinner after... Fun night!

But I've been having the worst of time and luck in the days to follow. Started with a fridge crapping out the day after my bday. Couple days later after that, and after throwing hundreds of dollars worth of food away, I'm in an unfortunate accident with a pedestrian...

...On Cinco... Right before mother's day ... Not really looking good for her or I...I feel like a piece of shit right now, she had injuries, to the extent is unknown to me at this point. Now other, not good, shit is happening... A person is hurt/injured. maintenance and registration plus smog due now too. To throw salt on injury..possible law suits incoming now too... It was a freak accident that I wish didn't happen.

I'm not in a good place mentally right now.a so a result.. Sorry to throw that on you guys, shits just kinda fucked right now...

Damn brother, happy belated birthday and all I can say is one day at a time. Insurance for the unfortunate pedestrian incident (please come up here and take out as many as you want and best part is everyone fucked off the cops so no penalty for anyone) (just trying to give you a chuckle) fridges are expensive, I get it. I’ve bought my fare share of used things from Craigslist, OfferUp etc. and saved quite a bit along the way. Keep your head up Mo, we’re here for you man.

MO Daddy - Gotta just give it some time to smooth out. Hard not to worry, but that just grinds you down, and does nothing to resolve matters.
As for refrigerators, it's crazy times in trying to get a new one right now. Seems that probably 90% of the issues I've ever had were that weird little bimetal thermostat....,
but the last time it was the Compressor Relay. Both are easy fixes, but sometimes dead is dead....

Well now you can get a fridge with a TV and a programmed diet that tells you to f*ck off when you grab junk food. So there is that.

I have the minimum requested coverage on my insurance so hopefully it's enough to cover the injuries... Everything about the situation is so gut wrenching... Then, spent 8 hours yesterday cause both alternator and battery took a crap on my car... Another $400 in parts, a full day of cussing, worry, stress, and grief.. and busted up hands and messed up back...man I'm going through the ringer right now...

Anyway... Sorry...

Not sure how often I'll be updating in the next days or weeks to come currently, but I'll pop in if and when I can... Just so many other things occupying my attention...
