What time is it?
Trim time of course.
1st main cure phase in the bucket is over.
Final storage in the jars commencing.

How to say I love you to a weed smoker. Like a scratch and sniff card you can smoke. Mmmmm
20230520_123301.jpg 20230520_123308.jpg
Mmmm so lovely.
20230520_124020.jpg 20230520_124030.jpg 20230520_124035.jpg
5 big jars, one small jar, and I'd say I've already smoked a jar out of the bucket.
So imho a pretty decent yield on the Grape Juice, all solid buds.
20230520_124811.jpg
So think I'd make it through airport security?
20230520_120134.jpg
Vacation weed stash. Lol

I know,I say dumb things. ? ? ?

50 bucks says you'd make it through Detroit....Shit I had a rolling tray too and made it through the metal detectors. Even gave me my knife back :)
Lol, they'd get me here at DIA likely. They're all up in your business here. Everything I've flown as an adult I get some kind of extra screening treatment. I guess I look jenky or some shit. Lol

Cracked a new cured jar of Honey Sundae and I'm getting fresh cut apples and apple cider smells coming from the jar.
Never had those smells come at me from that cut. Verified it with the gf's nose, she got the same thing before I told her what I was smelling.
It was from one of the jars where I'd stressed her out really bad recently. Has me wondering if the stress induced new terps to her profile, or if it was some other parameter that brought it out of her.

That's an interesting thought.... Stress induced changes to a terpene profile. Apple is one terpene I've never really had before where it's like what you're saying, though I have had a strain that, once wrapped up in an Apple Juicy Jay, it tasted like heavily Cinnamon covered Apple Pie which, was odd LOL.

When I finally get a taste/smell of SS's version of Jenny it'd be a good indicator if such occurs. His perfect enviro vs my take what you get or die if you wanna methods.
Imho I think stressing them would do so.
Just about every plant I grow gets some stress testing just due to my growing style. Lol

Because you are changing vpd the plants water needs are changing. What's worked in the past needs modified now.

Splashing a slug of water on them every couple days making the root enviro swing wet/dry vs. constant is why I think you're seeing the praying/drooping, partly at least. Might need to consider adding large aggregate to mix and increasing frequency of watering?

Was contemplating adding the aeration already, good call on that. Soil is a little on the thick earthy side with all the compost thats built up over time. All soil is recycyled and reused. Havent had any new soil added since 2020 I think it was.
No new soil, no new soil born pests being brought in is my train of thought there. Has worked so far so good, knock on wood.

As for the watering I do water them every day based on pot weight. Keep em fairly moist, but not wet. Watering in the am for the flower room, and in the afternoon/evening for the veg room usually.
Also kind of thinking it could be a build up of something in the soil from reuse, and or from the water. I use tap, and always have. Its pretty high in carbonates, and will leave a white crust on the fixtures. Does the same to the fabric pots, could be throwing things off. I dunno though, just pondering and guessing. lol.

Forgot about the carbonates. Definite factor. When I pulled my recent soil samples I was shocked at how little aggregate is remaining in the original mix.

Few pics from this mornings garden time.
HS, Jenny, another HS, and BnB.
20230525_080025.jpg
Second HS 30ish days.
20230525_080036.jpg
Jenny Chem 47 days.
20230525_080047.jpg
HS at 47 days
20230525_080053.jpg
BnB ready at 9.5 weeks, need to chop and trim her down, but been busy n lazy. Lol
20230525_080104.jpg
Slymer I dunno how old atm, and dont feel like figuring it out right now either. Lol 20230525_080116.jpg
Veg library happy enough for me. No ones dying anyways. Lol
20230525_080152.jpg
Maybe I'll top the Slymer soon, just really liking watching her natural grow characteristics. Shes keeping some really tight branching with being so far from the light. About 2 or 3 ft distance atm.
20230525_080239.jpg
HS looking tasty, another few weeks to go.
20230522_174857.jpg
Second HS, lots of weeks to go. Lol
20230522_175134.jpg
Jenny Chem, 2 or 3 weeks to go.
20230522_175231.jpg
Oh, and I dropped some Watermelon seeds in a big pot, see if the flower room grows me some fruit along with yummy buds.
No sprouting yet, playing the waiting game.
20230522_175249.jpg
Cup is my dome to keep the soil from drying out where the seeds are planted. Works well for me, I use them for mini clone domes too.

All cleaned up,and I added some better lighting for the harvest pics. ???
20230529_105227.jpg 20230529_105254.jpg 20230529_105410.jpg
Quite limey green with frosty bits for the most part. Some light lavender colorations scattered about on the spots getting the most light.
20230529_105430.jpg 20230529_114911.jpg 20230529_114926.jpg 20230529_115002.jpg 20230529_115024.jpg 20230529_115053.jpg 20230529_115304.jpg 20230529_115335.jpg 20230529_115352.jpg
Very sweet smelling, not exactly berries, more of an incense kind of smell to this version of her.
Reg overhead lighting pics.

The view from the trim chair prechop of the BnB. Feels like a warm sunny day in there. 20230529_093743.jpg
BnB prechop. Dang she had some crispies, but her buds look damn fine. ???
20230529_093804.jpg
Down to 3 in flower, few more weeks and it'll be down to one for a bit.
20230529_093813.jpg
Honey Sundae 7 weeks ish.
20230529_093843.jpg
Jenny Chem also about 7 weeks ish.
20230529_093833.jpg
20230529_093933.jpg
Another Honey Sundae 4 maybe close to 5 weeks. She moved over some, not sitting on the fringes anymore.
Gets her own light now like a big girl. Lol
20230529_093823.jpg
Veg room doing its thing. Slymer getting set in her tote, lots of nice branching to her. Getting some nice long arms on her lowers.

You're still getting more senescence on Jenny than I did. That a 3 gal?

I don't think you'll have trouble recognizing her.
Yes, she's not liking it either lol.
I've ran her in that size pot before and she's been happy, but not the happiest this go in it. HS isn't liking it either and she's been in that size before too. After doing more research I really do think I need more aeration for sure with how mych compost has built up in the soil over time. Its thick, chunky, and quite compacted. I'm leaning that ways in my thoughts even more that some non dirt stuff needs added to the soil mix to even things out.
I know I could go grab a bag of perlite or such but have had some other ideas. Have been looking into making my own biochar. Its about time to change out one of the big filters carbon anyways, so I'll presoak that in some tea and mix it in the soil totes. Thought about taking some clean hardwood charcoal chunks and breaking them up to put in there too, the kind from real wood, no chemical shit.
Side note for the long life of that filter, big ass filter, bad ass results, with a bit over 2.5 years of running nonstop with no smells. Its failed now, started failing a few months ago, and if I were in an illegal state I'd be worried atm. lol. Vent is near one of the master windows, and if its open the room smells like weed pretty strong, the smell would lead them to me. lol.
Can Fan brand, Can Lite unit. Have a second bigger one I'll probably put in place for now, Can Fan 125 size. Picked em both up at a grow house closing shop right before the pandemic shit happened. $100 for both of em, they retail for over $350 each, was happy AF that day.

Oh, and yay, my flower room watermelon is up and above soil, gonna see what else I can be growing on the sidelines in the rooms. I'll have to get some pics in the morning. The little sprout looks alot like a stout ass MMJ plant coming up. lol
Thinking I'll start a strawberry patch in there too, don't really use all the space for weed, so the room with good light is already there. Might as well use it imho.

Just got my lab results back the other day, haven't had time to look at them in detail but looks like phos is creeping up in the 3x3. I need to take a closer look before doing anything. Shit I may not be planting anything in there till fall anyway.

I'd think the charcoal would break down pretty quickly? I really like the wood mulch (vs. rice hulls) and have enough chipped up to last a while. Still need to work something in and that something will probably be pumice but I have half a bale of rice hulls too.
