That blue thing is the cheapest pump I ever bought, bottom draw does a good job.
I have it on a seconds timer, few seconds every hour. The airstone doesn’t do as well for me. Don’t need the aeration at this stage.

I don’t get any smells like that, your running MC?
I check my stuff by smell all the time. I may not be very scientific, but I’m hands on. :stoned:
I don’t know if Jack’s grows better but I really like how clean it runs for me.
no, I run GH3 but just Micro n Bloom. It's when the tote sweats around the edge and where the lid meets the lip. I've had it before and it didn't seem to have any ill effects. It's not heavy, but it is noticeable. If I wipe it down with some bleach it goes away and comes back within a few days. The res does warm up the water quite a bit, but it gets cooled down very quickly as it trickles into the chilled epi. Funny - I did notice a couple of days where the system temp was climbing over the course of a few hours, right during mid day. This is also when I noticed that the plants started to drink heavier. The chilled epi water was getting consumed faster than it was getting filled by the warm res, so the ratio of warm water was higher. Knocked the chiller down a couple of degrees, and it evened out.

Do you get heavy condensation on your buckets? I have been more, since I cranked up the lights and increased the humidity. Thinking of wrapping them with some house insulation, but afraid of mold.

I don’t get that slime buildup in the rez.
I have my chiller set at 20C, Guardian registers 21 drifting to 23C. My pump is moving pretty fast, so how efficient it is?
I have all my buckets and lines insulated, no condensation on the buckets.
My buckets have raised bottoms, so if that makes a difference?

Catching up, been grieving over my hydro buddy leaving. He had dirt on his shoes......
I get attached easily!

I thought I had a good plan, I knew the Panama was going to be a challenge to keep down, but I expected the others to help or at least one to run next to it?

This, not so much!

Far left and right are Panama V2 and Monkey Juice, respectively.
Front left, BOO and Putang. They will work together.
Not sure what to do, the fight would be significant? I guess I should have topped it, but a beautiful plant, if left natural.
I only have a couple more feet of light height.
I’d kink the top, not sure that’s enough at this point?
I could take clones and start over.

I moved the f&d tray with the Berry Nice Plants and fogger clones in the room. Humidity and temp are easier to maintain and running hlg 288 qb’s and AR20 strips. E9772EBB-922A-4690-8B6A-4E1417E5A953.jpeg
Still no sex on the Berry’s, clones are fems, front right is C&C m/f?
Not sure where the Pheno Hunt stands but my entry is in here....somewhere.

I started some more seeds a few days ago. 8064A356-3AF2-498D-8518-FE53C4327BF2.jpeg A8CE29F4-5F9E-4E00-B086-C0EFAF1D6DBB.jpeg

Dope Beard Durban (AKBB)
Banana OG (Zoolander)
SSH x Lemon Thai F2 (Zoolander)
Magnum PI (Esso)
lvtk s1 (Esso)
Dracary’s (Katsu)

I wasn’t too sure about the raw rw plugs, I think I like the way they perform so far.

Once I sort these out, I think I’m going to set up a top feed f&d tray with my FloraFlex bubbler.
I saw a thread on another forum regarding this
I’m stealing this idea.

Seems like it would be sweet!

Last week I was modifying a humidifier, I guess it’s opposites week. Gotta love those Inkbirds!

It was either try this, very aggressive lst or grab a small clone?
I still can if this goes horribly wrong.

I'm fixing to do the same, all of my plants got out of control on me, especially in the RDWC tent.I also like the way the plant looks "untopped" but I think if I don't do like what you did, no way I will finish.

Quick question, the lower the number (0), the better, right?

It’s been a minute, got sidetracked.
The pace had really picked up around here, nice work Spy and the gang.

Well, I changed things up, went a different way.
Dozed up the uc and switched to coco for the first time.
After seeing what coco is capable of (by others -) ), I had to give it a try.
Being bored, easily influenced and trying to manage a out of control veg (Panama V2) didn’t help. She didn’t act like that the first time, something was off?
It would have been a fight to the end.
Compatibility is a big factor I rarely consider, lesson noted, not learned! Lol

When I popped these seeds back in June, I really didn’t have a purpose, but this has worked out perfect. They were well established.

I’m two 1/2 weeks into flower now, but will post the crazy progression.
I got to say, it was nice for a change, a lot less friken equipment running! )
I had a tray that I spliced back together and (15) seedlings in 1 gal. fabric pots.
I’m a big believer in thing happen for a reason.
Perfect fit!
It took me a minute to work out the plumbing, messed with a couple of options.
First thing, the Orbit flow controllers are easier to use and less expensive.
I like being able to cap off unused lines and individual flow control.

I stole this corrugated sheet idea from another forum. Friken genius idea.
NAM led me right to him! Lol

If I didn’t have this tray, I’d run this sheeting. The tray works pretty good, I can runoff the sheet into it.
I even have the corrugated sheet in the bottom of the tray, a lot cleaner.
Someone here runs a system like that.

This seemed like the best way to use the space and spread things out. 7DE20F73-FE69-4CE6-8898-A267F9274DB9.jpeg Mocking up.

The two far left are the Berry Nice that made it to the show. I had just repotted them from clay 5” pots to coco.
I was amazed at how well the clay came out of the root wade.
I wacked the root ball down to fist size to fit and hoped! Being pretty good size plants, wasn’t sure how hard they’d get dinged?
13F41E26-2013-4FED-872E-8126D1D2A98A.jpeg This is when I realized I might be in trouble.
At this point, I’m still trying to get the feed and timing worked out. Plants aren’t looking great, nothing new for me. )

Great to see you @Caddis. Plants look healthy and that runoff system looks really cool. Hope to see you around more often, you speak UC RDWC ?
Glad to be back with a new challenge.
I can’t really argue it yet, but this coco is pretty intriguing. So far, other than losing control of the stretch, it really is HYDRO!
Helps getting a leg up from NAM & cc. I have this forum to thank for helping make that possible.

I have been trying to strike a balance with the coco moisture for a while now. Seems like the wetter it is the closer it is to hydro growth. Problem is the wetter it is the more the fungus gnats like it as well. Best to have some established roots but i think coco is damn near impossible to over water. I am finally controlling those furry little bastards.

This is an update from today, three weeks into flower.
Top feed Jack’s, with PK booster @ 1.5 ec, but backed it down to 1.3 yesterday, leaves started showing stress.
I quit mixing Hygrozeme in the reservoir, works fine in rdwc, but develops a film when just periodic stirring.
I’ve mixed Hygrozeme and Hydroguard in phed water and hand watered, no clue if it helps, hasn’t hurt the couple of times I’ve done it. Not flushing to runoff, just dosing the medium.

I lost the handle on these, it really is hydro!
I’ve only defoliate the other Berry Nice, everything else just stretched. Training with yoyo’s.

I’m feeding three times a day to good runoff.
I have a few gnats, but the strips work good for me. Small pots may help too?
I know you can’t overwater, I tried! )
Flipped my timer to manual to run extra, forgot to switch back to clock mode, watered every hour, drained a full 20+ gal rez, but the plants didn’t show it.
I did run some enzyme/ HG through them, just because?

I broke the root tip off one putting it in the rw, wasn’t sure it would go, hard to keep these 313 gems down.
I took a few clones and just stuck them in coco, trying to simply seed and cloning starts. I handicapped myself a little by taking them so late. Not really giving them much, quit misting the dome.
Not happy with my seed start in coco, went half assed, soaked a day, straight to coco. Lost one Dope Beard Durban, Dead Dog Queen, Star Pupil and Katsu Pupil. (
Started more in rw, need to do better using coco. 93DA5CB3-4B24-4AC3-AEBF-5EC488C75D41.jpeg

I have had a really high rate of success starting seeds in a similar fashion in coco. The only difference i see is i use strait coco and water the pot to runoff . I then place the seed as close to 1/4" deep as i can get. I probably will not irrigate them until they have sprouted by multiple days. Just makes it a little harder to get the seed depth right with the perlite in there plus it will hold moisture a little longer. If i am the least bit concerned with plant height i do a lot of supper cropping early on during the major stretch usually once a week. I just supper cropped my plants twice in a first 2 week period. I really feel the supper cropping has a small stress factor vs something like topping a plant. I was doing one last week and snapped the branch all the way off . I just put tape around it bent it over and it did just fine

I had two DBD’s and a Grape Pupil doing ok. I think your on to something with the perlite, it occurred to me after the fact, too loose!
I had the same issue with rw, just have to learn the medium.
I’m with you on the super cropping, but I‘m so envious of the outdoor guys, I just want to let them run free.

I got caught watching the paint dry, I’ve driven worst wrecks! ?

I’m looking forward to a full size SCJ!

SCJ is working its way towards legendary status. There are a few pheno expressions I've seen and experienced. All of them frost rail like crazy. Very photogenic cultivar, smoke is quite expansive and can cough up a veteran if you lung it hard. Save those trimmings, great bubble hash potential.
