Ditch the GH ph down and go with straight food grade phosphoric acid. Can usually find it at 80-85% concentration. You can dilute before adding to res. It will be more stable.

GH is a mix of citric acid and phosphoric acid. Citrix acid doesn't last 24hrs in a well aerated solution I would say likely not even 12hrs.

Plus it will be cheaper

That’s the stuff I need to know!

Could explain past issues with other nutrients?

Sulfuric works well too slightly less stable but very minimally and a source of sulfur. I may switch to that next as I'm trying to keep the phosphate down and I have noticed in flower after stretch my ph will stop rising I'm not 100% sure but I think it's because the lower need for phosphorus after stretch. Sulfur is helps in terms of flavonoids so I think it would be more beneficial in flower than phosphorus that's needed in very low amounts and most ferts contain more than enough.

It could have to do with the change in plant process or bacteria population with the change to light cycle more starches are released into the media. But I wanna see if it changes things. Of course will be a while before I get to test it.

Yep it could. If your getting more than a 0.2 to 0.3 increase in ph in 24 hrs you likely need a more stable acid. If using sufuric or phosphoric acid it's because you need to add more buffering and more acid. The more the buffering the more acid it take to bring it down but also more stable. It's a balance you don't want to add to much if each and throw your nutrient balance out

I’m hoping the Jacks has sufficient stuff, I really don’t want to be messing around, too much paperwork!
Especially since my approach is a hope!

I fought with Current Solutions with that, could of been because I was running bennies. I think their geared for sterile, guessing it may make a difference in stability?

If it was the bacteria it would drop the ph if anything but in a well aerated system not much even with a lot of bacteria. It's more the h+ ions exchanged by the plants. I will have to go back and do some reading to brush up on this.

Not a lot going on.
Changed out the rez on the f&d.

The uc is plugging along, poor planning and execution have slowed things.

Wish these wouldn’t have gotten away from me. Panama is looking good, too stretched, but....

Looking good bro... Coming along nicely. What would growing be without a few challenges? Handling them well and it shows

After reading a post in another thread about ph levels in hydroponics and did a background check :ROFLMAO:, I’ve realized I’ve been running my ph higher than optimal?
I’ve tried to start around 5.8 and let it drift to 6.3.
Seems I should target 5.5 to 6.0 range.
I dropped it from 6.2 to 5.7, easing it down.

Anxious to see, I know trying to stay in the VPD range is helping! 153B1D14-EF21-4BF8-B030-B305506C20E5.jpeg

The GP vertical solo is doing pretty good, I think.
Changed the nutes, ph got up to 6.4, running it at 5.7 too.
Hung a couple of ARA20 strips overhead, man she’s stacking!

I have to say, I really like these 288 v1 4K for veg, first time from start.
