A lot of the descriptions are odd/vague I agree. We will see how "REAL" the therealseedcompany is. Friend of mine ran the mango thai, and was pretty happy with it overall. I tried to get that, but its out of stock. There will be other items in the works also coming from TLT, ILR and others also. Not everything will be a winner for sure.

So said person who had pack of landrace strain and successfully made 16 crosses and who now has about a half pound of seed. If said person had say a 10x10 outside area for example.
Could said person in say mid July heavily seed this area and open pollinate these 16 crosses and have a substantial variation in collected seed?

First off, I wanna say I love what's going on in here and would like to contribute by donating some beans, sadly I don't have the space to participate in the breeding ATM.
I don't wanna piss on anyone's chips here and I hate bashing breeders, but I feel that if a project like this is worth doing, you've got to start with the best genetics and biggest gene pool possible. I've grown those Pakistan valley from WOS and they were terrible!!! There's seriously nothing worth preserving in them. I had the same experience with their Wild Thai too, pheno's all over the place and nothing but disappointment at the end.............. just my experience of them.

Any chance unique males will get preserved throughout this process. Be cool to be able to have access to the stinkiest frostiest males that turn up. Has to be some real value in that for our breeders around here too. I know I have more packs that could get involved, just in my head I'm going to hunt them all someday. Not all that realistic and this could be way to see what some of those packs hold.

This is good info. I was scouring seed banks today looking for additional packs from World of Seeds. Glad they were sold out everywhere. And @Sparrowhawk those are awesome contributions. Very nice.
