So this is the list I just dropped:

1x Useful Chocolate Covered Strawberries S1 (never released for sale, one of the only things I kept from the auction)
1x Mango Rogue, The Seed Source

3x each of the regs:
Bad N Boujee, Solfire
Brutal Thunder, Kinetic Genetics
Glukkake, Captains Connection
Sour LSD, B.O.G
Butterscotch Whiskey, Massive Creations
Black Cherry Pie x Blackberry, Mims
TKNL5 x Sawtooth Skunk, Blu Channel

I actually was gonna plant more but I ran out of plugs. Gonna try and get some tomorrow. Got @Capt's Farm UFO, some Bohdi and some GK on deck.

It's become almost impossible to choose what to grow, between all the amazing crosses people here have gifted me and everything I've purchased. Every time I make a plan I see something else in the vault and change my mind lol.

@Phylex Kokusho #3 came down tonight... she was a very low yielder but the smell is incredibly complex and unique. It vacillates between play doh, pine, sour and floral. I can't quite pin it down. Literally just spent the last ten minutes with my face in a pile of popcorn nugs trying to figure it out lol. She's back in the veg tent for an attempt at a reveg, at least until I get a chance to get a smoke test in and see how she does.

Kokusho #2, the star of the show so far isn't far behind. Should be coming down in the next day or two.

Some thoughts on the Hippy Slayer.... she's still rank, but more burnt rubber and Skunk than straight up roadkill Skunk like I had hoped.... like the driver locked up the brakes and missed the bugger...

But she's gorgeous. The pictures really don't do justice to the bud structure. The leaves curl and rise in a way that reminds me of a lotus flower. She's taken on a nice purple on the undersides of the leaves that just touches the edges and tips. 20210110_223809.jpg 20210110_223815.jpg

At this point I'm not expecting her to bulk up much so another one on the lower end for yield. Kind of seeing why this strain didn't catch on more. It's a growers cut. Beautiful and a pleasure to grow but if you were growing for profit or even just to fill the cabinets she's not the one for you.

Thinking I need to find a male from a good yielding strain that can add some weight to her without losing her better qualities.

That is pretty quick. If the smoke report plays out favorably, it could be worth a shot at trying to improve yield while trying to keep the harvest window shorter. I’m so used to 65-70 days on average, 63 days feels early. I certainly wouldn’t complain if that could be cut down by a week or so. It would be nice to have a shorter finisher for once. Ironically, I just went the other way. I have some plants now that might go 16 weeks.

@Phylex oh, and I keep wanting to mention, one of the things that's still impressing me the most is just how easy this strain is to grow. All three phenos never once gave me even a hint of an issue. And I wasn't kind to them (I could be a professional stress tester) Fell asleep without watering? Not even a hint of droop. Too tired from work to mix up the nutrients and give them straight water? I see those hungry leaves on a lot of plants, but never Kokusho. Cold ass night time temps? Never skipped a beat.

Quite the contrast from the GMO Ive had going at the same time, which absolutely hates me and everything I've done too her.

I tend to stray towards the longer flowering strains myself, with 75 to 85 days seeming most common, so this was real quick for me. And honestly, as you said, it was actually really nice for once. At no point was I staring at the plant silent screaming at the trichs to just change color got-damnit

It's kind of a strange coincidence that both strains had one pheno that stayed small and finished quickly and one pheno that was much larger and is taking much longer.... if they weren't so different in every other aspect I'd think I had mixed things up
